Working across a large multi-site, multi-vendor environment, you will play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and implementing critical network solutions.\nThis is a fantastic opportunity to work with leading technologies including HPE Comware, Cisco, Fortinet, and enterprise network management platforms, while gaining exposure to both operational support and project delivery activities.\nWe are looking for someone with solid network engineering experience, who enjoys solving technical challenges, working directly with customers, and contributing as part of a highly skilled team.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nNetwork Support & Troubleshooting\nMaintain and support enterprise network infrastructure and hardware.\nInvestigate, diagnose, and resolve network and connectivity issues.\nPerform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.\nSupport LAN, WAN, and security infrastructure across multiple sites.\nProject Delivery & Implementation\nInstall, configure, and maintain network infrastructure components.\nImplement network changes across switching, routing, and firewall environments.\nParticipate in infrastructure upgrades, refreshes, and enhancement projects.\nConduct testing, validation, and acceptance activities.\nCustomer & Technical Engagement\nProvide technical support to internal and external stakeholders.\nRespond to technical queries and recommend appropriate solutions.\nEscalate and coordinate complex incidents where required.\nWork closely with third-party suppliers and support partners.\nDocumentation & Governance\nCreate and maintain network diagrams.\nEnsure technical documentation accurately reflects the current environment.\nFollow change management and operational procedures.\nWhat We're Looking For\nEssential Skills & Experience\nHPE and/or Cisco networking skills equivalent to CCNA level.\nExperience supporting enterprise-scale network environments.\nStrong troubleshooting skills across LAN, WAN, and network security technologies.\nExperience working within multi-vendor network infrastructures.\nKnowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts.\nExperience working in customer-facing technical environments.\nAbility to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team.\nDesirable Skills\nExperience with two or more of the following:\nFortinet Firewalls.\nIPSec VPN configuration and management.\nFortiManager and FortiAnalyzer.\nHPE Intelligent Management Centre (IMC).\nIP Address Management (IPAM).\nStructured cabling environments within manufacturing or operational sites.\nQualifications\nDegree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.\nRelevant networking certifications such as CCNA, HPE ASE, or equivalent are advantageous.\nPersonal Attributes\nWe're looking for someone who:\nHas strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nCan manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.\nHas excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\nDemonstrates a professional and customer-focused approach.\nIs comfortable working on multiple activities simultaneously.\nEnjoys learning new technologies and developing their technical expertise.\nSecurity Requirements\nDue to the nature of the work and the customers we support, successful applicants must be eligible to meet UK Government and contractual security requirements, including applicable residency criteria, and must have the right to work in the UK.\nAdditional Requirements\nWillingness to travel occasionally as required.\nParticipation in an on-call rota, including evenings and weekends when necessary.\nThis role requires hybrid working\nAt DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success.
