This role spans the full OCI stack from core infrastructure and cloud-native services to DevOps automation and Oracle application workloads and is central to delivering scalable, secure, and resilient solutions for our clients.\nKey Responsibilities\nOCI Infrastructure (Compute, Networking, Storage, IAM)\nDesign and implement OCI tenancy architectures including compartment structures, VCNs, subnets, security lists, NSGs, and DRGs.\nProvision and manage compute instances (VM, BM, Flex), block/object/file storage, and load balancers.\nConfigure IAM policies, identity federation, dynamic groups, and instance principals following least-privilege principles.\nImplement network security architectures including FastConnect, IPSec VPN, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and Cloud Guard.\nCloud Migration\nLead end-to-end migration of workloads from on-premises and other cloud platforms to OCI.\nPerform discovery, assessment, and dependency mapping using Oracle Cloud Migrations, RackWare, or equivalent tooling.\nExecute migration strategies (Rehost, Re-platform, Refactor) aligned with business and technical requirements.\nPlan and implement database migrations using OCI Database Migration Service, Data Pump, GoldenGate, or ZDM (Zero Downtime Migration).\nCloud-Native & DevOps on OCI\nBuild and manage containerized workloads on OCI Container Engine for Kubernetes (OKE).\nDesign CI/CD pipelines using OCI DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.\nAuthor and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform (OCI Resource Manager), Ansible, or Pulumi.\nImplement observability stacks leveraging OCI Monitoring, Logging, Logging Analytics, and APM.\nOCI for Oracle Application Workloads\nDeploy and manage Oracle Database services on OCI (DB Systems, Exadata Cloud Service, Autonomous Database).\nArchitect OCI environments to host Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, and Fusion Middleware.\nConfigure Oracle Data Guard, RMAN, and Autonomous Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery.\nOptimize performance for Oracle workloads using OCI-native tools (Database Management, Operations Insights, Performance Hub).\nGeneral\nDevelop and maintain architecture documentation including HLDs, runbooks, and operational playbooks.\nCollaborate with solution architects, application teams, and client stakeholders to translate requirements into OCI designs.\nProvide technical leadership and mentoring to junior cloud engineers.\nParticipate in incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities.\nRequired Skills & Experience\n7 - 8 years of progressive experience in cloud engineering with a minimum of 4 years focused on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.\nStrong hands-on expertise with OCI core services: Compute, Networking, Storage, IAM, Database, and Security.\nProven experience delivering cloud migration projects (on-prem to OCI or cross-cloud).\nProficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform with OCI provider is mandatory).\nExperience with container orchestration (Kubernetes / OKE) and CI/CD pipeline design.\nSolid understanding of Oracle Database technologies (RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN, GoldenGate).\nWorking knowledge of Linux administration and shell scripting.\nExperience with at least one scripting/automation language: Python, Bash, or Go.\nStrong understanding of networking concepts (DNS, load balancing, firewalls, VPN, peering).\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to produce clear technical documentation and present to client stakeholders.\nPreferred Skills\nOCI certifications: OCI Architect Associate, OCI Architect Professional, OCI DevOps Professional, OCI Database Professional.\nAdditional cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or GCP equivalent).\nExperience with Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, or Fusion Middleware deployments on OCI.\nFamiliarity with FinOps practices and OCI Cost Analysis / Budgets.\nExperience with GitOps workflows (ArgoCD, Flux) and policy-as-code frameworks (OPA, Sentinel).\nKnowledge of Oracle Autonomous Database and its operational model.\nITIL Foundation or equivalent service management awareness.\nExperience working in managed services or consulting delivery environments.\nAt DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success.
