DXC Slovakia is a primary nearshore delivery location for a Swiss transport operator offering passenger and freight rail services and real estate services. A progressive, well-established company, with a strong customer focus, implementing a strategy to provide services which are simple, customized, convenient, interconnected, digital, personal, reliable and offering good value for money.

In possession of an SAP platform with 180 systems, 19000 SAP users + approx. 8000 mobile ones, around 60 non-SAP applications.

Scope of delivery is an SAP application development, Snowflake application development and 3rd line application management.

Five years contract.

About the role

This is an opportunity for an SAP analytics consultant to handle broad range of SAP and Snowflake related applications for our client from the business functionality point of view.

You will be part of the team primarily responsible for handling operational issues within extensive BW landscape (BW on Oracle, BW on HANA, BW4HANA and Snowflake analytic environment). In close interaction with Development teams on customer side, you would participate on taking over existing applications, their possible optimizations and error handling. In case of expert level of SAP BW knowledge together with some Snowflake related experience, there is even possibility of direct participation within whole lifecycle of customer projects (from its design throughout development and implementation process till operation/decommissioning).

Given that the client follows the latest technological trends in analytics, it is an advantage if you are willing to explore topics based on HANA Native (XSC/XSA) as well as areas and technologies outside the SAP environment related to analytics, such as Hadoop, Power BI, etc.

Daily challenges

• Responsible for resolution of problems and defects related to ETL as well as Virtual Providers

• Diagnosing incident root cause and take corrective as well as preventive actions

• Perform technical analysis and participate on design, development, deployment and testing of reporting solutions within BW/BW4HANA and based on Snowflake analytics

• Perform technical analysis and execute development and implementation of Embedded Analytics S/4 HANA based solutions, together with CDS View development for extraction and reporting purposes

• End to End Customer support including configuration, unit testing, integration testing, documentation and communication with various user communities

• Performance optimization of data structures and objects from data load and/or end-user data access response times perspective

• Create best practices, data aggregation strategies, master data definitions, technical documentation and data extract procedures

• Support within BW Reporting frontend area - AfO, SAC Dashboards, Webi, PowerBI

• Support within BO Data Services based replication solutions

• Cooperate within customer specific BW Planning activities (in regard to SAP BPC)

eXperience and skills required

• Degree or equivalent experience in computer science, computer engineering or related discipline, preferred

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP BW/BI/BO SAP application support

• Overview of Snowflake based analytic technologies and scenarios is a strong advantage

• Analytical, problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Service-oriented behavior

• Fluency in English and German both written and spoken

Even better if you have:

• Experience with the work in SAP 3rd Line AMS or business and application consulting

• Experience in implementation of Snowflake-based analytical and reporting solutions

• Experience in Agile and Dev/Ops methodologies, e.g. Scrum or SAFe

• SAP/ABAP development skills or at lease willingness to learn ABAP

• ITIL awareness

We offer salary from 36,400 to 44,200 EUR/annual. Salary can be higher depending on experience and skillset.
