Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for a passionate Senior Engineer with strong expertise in Java and Microservices development to build and support scalable, high-performance banking and payments technology solutions. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain cloud-ready distributed applications that process business-critical transactions, integrate with enterprise platforms, and deliver secure, reliable, and seamless digital experiences. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, contribute to architecture and development initiatives, and solve complex challenges related to scalability, performance, resiliency, and system integration while leveraging modern software engineering best practices.

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience in Java Development.
• Experience with Spring Boot or Spring Cloud, and related frameworks.
• Experience developing and maintaining Microservices-based applications.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and distributed systems architecture.
• Familiarity with messaging frameworks such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience in code review, debugging, and performance optimisation.
• Proficiency with source control tools such as Git.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with a strong delivery-focused approach.

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience working in the banking or payment domain highly preferred.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
