About the Role

Our Infrastructure Services team in Sofia & Varna is looking for you!

Join a team delivering enterprise-scale infrastructure solutions to some of the world's leading organizations. As a Senior Windows and Virtualization Engineer, you will provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, and strategic direction for complex infrastructure environments, helping clients modernize, optimize, and transform their platforms.

In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to customers and internal stakeholders, driving infrastructure strategy, governance, automation, security, and operational excellence across Windows Server, VMware, and Nutanix technologies. You will play a key role in shaping future infrastructure landscapes by leveraging emerging technologies, including AI-driven solutions, to improve service delivery, efficiency, and business outcomes.

Daily Challenges

• Defining and executing infrastructure architecture strategies aligned with customer and business objectives.
• Leading the design, governance, and modernization of enterprise Windows Server, VMware, and Nutanix environments.
• Acting as a senior technical advisor for infrastructure transformation, migration, and optimization initiatives.
• Supporting delivery and engineering teams with architectural decisions, technical guidance, and best practices.
• Collaborating with customers, project teams, and senior stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of infrastructure solutions.
• Driving infrastructure security, compliance, availability, resiliency, and business continuity initiatives.
• Evaluating and implementing AI-driven technologies, automation solutions, and operational intelligence capabilities to enhance infrastructure operations.
• Developing infrastructure roadmaps and strategic technology recommendations.
• Leading technical troubleshooting efforts for critical and complex infrastructure issues.
• Reviewing emerging technologies and recommending improvements to infrastructure platforms and service offerings.
• Supporting pre-sales activities, solution development, technical estimations, and customer presentations.
• Creating and maintaining architecture standards, technical documentation, and operational best practices.
• Presenting architectural recommendations, modernization strategies, and transformation plans to executive stakeholders and customers.

eXperience and Skills Required

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure environments, including architecture, technical leadership, or delivery leadership roles.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware vSphere, VMware ESXi, VMware vCenter, Nutanix AHV, and Nutanix Prism Central.
• Extensive experience designing and supporting enterprise virtualization platforms and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Strong expertise in VMware NSX, VMware Avi Load Balancer, Nutanix Flow, Nutanix Network Load Balancer (NLB), storage virtualization, and enterprise networking.
• Strong understanding of virtualization architecture, high availability, disaster recovery, workload migration, performance optimization, and platform lifecycle management.
• Experience defining and implementing infrastructure architecture standards and governance frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure security, compliance, resiliency, risk management, and business continuity principles.
• Experience with automation, scripting, and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts.
• Proven experience leading large-scale infrastructure modernization and transformation initiatives.
• Strong project management, stakeholder management, and decision-making capabilities.
• Experience presenting technical solutions, architecture roadmaps, and strategic recommendations to customers and senior leadership.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
• Passion for continuous learning and staying current with virtualization technologies, hybrid cloud solutions, AI innovations, and industry best practices.
• Fluent English.

Nice to Have

• Microsoft, VMware, Nutanix, Azure, or equivalent infrastructure certifications.
• Experience with Azure, hybrid cloud, and multi-cloud infrastructure architectures.
• Experience in managed services, enterprise outsourcing, or large-scale global environments.
• Background in technical pre-sales, consulting, or customer-facing architecture roles.
• Experience implementing AI-driven operations (AIOps), observability, and automation solutions.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with infrastructure modernization programs involving cloud adoption, data center transformation, or platform consolidation.
