You’ll directly shape how the world's leading insurers operate by helping to transform the policy, underwriting, and claims systems that millions of people rely on every day\nWe are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer with 7-9 years of relevant experience to design, develop, configure, and implement scalable solutions on the ServiceNow platform for SmartApps.\nThe ideal candidate will have hands-on development experience in ServiceNow Customer Service Management (CSM) or Financial Services Operations (FSO), along with a strong understanding of platform capabilities, application development, workflow automation, and system integrations.\nIn this role, you will collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions aligned with the SmartApps product roadmap. You will contribute to the delivery of high-quality, maintainable, and secure applications while following ServiceNow development best practices.\nRoles & Responsibilities\n1. ServiceNow Development and Configuration\nDesign, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications, modules, and platform components, with a focus on CSM or FSO.\nBuild and enhance workflows, Flow Designer flows, playbooks, catalog items, forms, fields, client scripts, business rules, UI policies, and other platform capabilities.\nImplement solutions aligned with business requirements, technical specifications, and the SmartApps product roadmap.\nFollow ServiceNow development standards and best practices to ensure scalability, maintainability, security, and performance.\n2. System Integration\nDesign, develop, and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and internal or third-party systems using REST and SOAP APIs.\nLeverage Integration Hub and related integration capabilities to automate business processes and enable seamless data exchange.\nTroubleshoot integration issues and ensure data consistency, reliability, and security across connected systems.\n3. Application Customization and Enhancement\nDevelop custom functionality using JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting capabilities.\nCustomize user experiences and application components using appropriate web technologies, including HTML and CSS, where applicable.\nEvaluate platform-native capabilities and reusable components before implementing custom solutions.\nIdentify opportunities to improve existing applications, workflows, and processes.\n4. Data Management\nConfigure and manage data imports, exports, mappings, and transformations.\nMaintain data quality, integrity, and consistency across ServiceNow applications.\nSupport data validation, migration, and troubleshooting activities as required.\n5. Testing, Troubleshooting, and Support\nDiagnose and resolve application defects, configuration issues, and production incidents.\nPerform unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and other relevant quality assurance activities.\nDevelop and maintain automated tests using the Automated Test Framework (ATF), where applicable.\nSupport deployments and post-release validation to ensure the stability and reliability of delivered solutions.\n6. Documentation and Collaboration\nCreate and maintain technical documentation covering application design, configurations, integrations, customizations, and deployment procedures.\nCollaborate with product owners, business analysts, architects, QA teams, and other developers to deliver solutions that meet business expectations.\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies, technical reviews, and solution design discussions.\nProvide technical guidance and contribute to continuous improvement across the development lifecycle.\nRequired Qualifications and Skills\n7-9 years of relevant experience in software development, including substantial hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform.\n Mandatory: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.\n Mandatory: Hands-on ServiceNow development experience in Customer Service Management (CSM) or Financial Services Operations (FSO).\nStrong knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture, application development, configuration, scripting, and development best practices.\nProficiency in JavaScript and experience developing ServiceNow scripts, business rules, client scripts, and other platform components.\nKnowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, system integrations, and Integration Hub.\nKnowledge of or a relevant micro-certification in at least one of the following areas:PlaybooksFlow DesignerNow Assist / AI capabilitiesPlatform AnalyticsPredictive IntelligenceService PortalService Catalog and Catalog ItemsAutomated Test Framework (ATF)\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English.\nAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.\nPreferred Qualifications\nServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).\nRelevant ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification.\nExperience with UI development using React or related front-end technologies.\nExperience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines, source control, application deployment, and integration testing.\nExperience with automated testing, performance optimization, and secure application development.\nExposure to AI-enabled workflows, intelligent automation, or analytics capabilities within the ServiceNow ecosystem.\nSuccess Criteria\nDeliver high-quality ServiceNow solutions aligned with business requirements and the SmartApps product roadmap.\nBuild reliable integrations and maintain data integrity across connected systems.\nEnsure developed applications meet established standards for performance, security, maintainability, and test coverage.\nContribute to timely delivery, continuous improvement, and the overall quality of the SmartApps platform.\nAt DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success.
