This role is highly analytical and data-driven, with a strong focus on turning billing data into actionable insights.\nThe analyst works closely with FinOps Advisors, engineering teams, and finance partners to support continuous cost optimization and governance.\nKey Responsibilities\nCost & Usage Analysis\nAnalyse cloud billing and usage data across Azure, AWS, and GCP.\nIdentify cost trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities.\nInvestigate root causes of cost spikes and unexpected spend.\nReporting & Dashboards\nBuild and maintain FinOps dashboards and reports in FinOps tools and BI platforms.\nSupport executive, finance, and engineering reporting requirements.\nMaintain cost allocation models based on tags, accounts, projects, and business units.\nOptimization Support\nGenerate rightsizing, idle resource, storage, and commitment utilization reports.\nTrack implementation and savings realization of optimization actions.\nSupport RI/SP/CUD utilization analysis and coverage tracking.\nTool Operations\nSupport configuration and ongoing administration of FinOps tools.\nValidate data ingestion, billing exports, and cost categorization logic.\nAssist in integrating billing data with internal systems and data pipelines.\nResearch & Data Engineering Support\nAssist in researching complex billing scenarios and pricing behaviours.\nSupport development of scripts, queries, or automation for cost data processing.\nHelp improve data quality and enrichment for reporting and forecasting.\nRequired Skills & Experience\n2-5 years of experience in cloud operations, financial analysis, or FinOps roles.\nStrong analytical skills with large datasets and billing exports.\nExperience with at least one major cloud provider’s billing and cost management data.\nProficiency in Excel and SQL; experience with Python is a plus.\nUnderstanding of cloud pricing models and billing constructs.\nAbility to communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nPreferred Qualifications\nFinOps Certified Practitioner or equivalent training.\nExperience with Cloudability, CloudHealth, or similar FinOps platforms.\nExperience working with data warehouses or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).\nExposure to Kubernetes cost visibility and shared services allocation.\nAt DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success.
