This is a highly visible, greenfield opportunity responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, opening strategic customer relationships, and expanding the company’s market presence.\nIdentify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities within robotics, humanoid robotics, consumer electronics, and related technology markets.\nBuild and expand relationships with strategic customers, including both new logo acquisition and growth within existing top-tier accounts.\nDevelop projects and opportunities from early-stage concept discussions through commercialization and mass production.\nServe as a trusted partner to customers by understanding technical challenges, application requirements, and market trends.\nCollaborate closely with Sales, Applications Engineering, R&D, Marketing, and Product Management teams to support customer engagement and project development.\nPromote VPG's sensing technologies, including force, torque, strain measurement, and related sensor solutions.\nMaintain a strong opportunity pipeline and effectively manage customer engagement activities through CRM tools.\nLead business development activities while coordinating with internal resources that support the sales process.\nProvide market intelligence, competitive insights, and customer feedback to support business strategy and product development.\nMeet established KPIs focused on project creation, opportunity development, customer engagement, and pipeline growth.\nRequirements\n7+ years of business development, strategic sales, technical sales, or account growth experience.\nBachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.\nProven success identifying, prospecting, and developing new business opportunities in technical markets.\nExperience within robotics, humanoid robotics, automation, sensors, electronics, semiconductor, consumer electronics, or related industries.\nUnderstanding of force/torque sensing, sensors, measurement technologies, or electromechanical components preferred.\nExperience supporting products through the lifecycle from concept, design, and development through production.\nStrong relationship-building, communication, influencing, and presentation skills.\nAbility to engage both engineering and business stakeholders.\nHighly organized with strong pipeline management and project tracking capabilities.\nExperience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce.\nSelf-motivated and capable of operating independently in a remote environment.\nWillingness to travel up to 75%\nBenefits\nBase Salary: $110,000 - $160,000 per year depending on experience.\nCompany sponsored benefits that include medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D insurance, disability and flexible spending account (FSA)\nVoluntary Critical Illness & Accidental Injury Insurance\nCompany 401(k) Plan with 4% employer match (Employee/Employer Contributions 100% vested upon hire)\nPaid vacation and holidays\nBonus eligible\nThe estimated salary range allows for candidates with various levels of skills and experience to be considered, as well as provides room for growth achieved within the role over time.
