Candidates would begin as a mechanic and transfer into a Pilot/Mechanic dual role. \n\nDuties: \nPilot the King Air as a single pilot Captain in a safe and professional way\nFunction as Pilot Mechanic in Command making safe decisions to complete the work\nFly accurately in relation to dispersal criteria\nOffer constructive input to the function of the base in areas of flight\nTake personal responsibility for record keeping\nComplete daily, weekly or monthly reports (maintenance records, timesheets, etc.) accurately and on time\nFollow directions and remain on task\nCommunicate with the customer and pilots about aircraft issues\nDisassemble and clean aircraft components/parts\nOrganize and maintain shop floor/environment from clutter or debris\nPerform routine and non-routine aircraft maintenance\nInspect aircraft and systems\nRead and understand maintenance manuals and understand requirements\nTroubleshoot and repair systems\nOther duties as assigned\nSkills/Qualifications:\nFAA Commercial / Instrument / Multi-Engine license\nA minimum of 1200 hours total flight time (multi-engine turboprop preferred)\nAbility to qualify single pilot and work in a multi-crew environment\nFAA A&P maintenance certificate (preferred)\nRelocation to Bridgewater, VA\nAbility to work as a team member\nFluency in Spanish (preferred)\nHigh school education required\nExperience with PT6 engines, specifically King Air 90 preferred\nPrior mechanical experience\nTechnical aptitude\nMust provide own tools (tools listing to be provided)\nAbility to:\nCrawl in and out of tight spaces\nComfortably work at elevated heights of at least 40 feet for extended periods of time\nLift, balance and carry 50 lbs.\nWork in exterior weather conditions\nWork in close proximity to other people\nJob Experience: Experience working with hands, repairing machines, troubleshooting, maintaining, and inspecting all aircraft systems including electrical, sheet metal, general airframe and power plant.\nPrior cross-cultural and foreign language experience preferred.\n\nPay Band: Certified Mechanic- $27.16 - $40.36 per hour. Uncertified Mechanic- $22.40 - $37.545 per hour.
