Working within our depot environment, you will ensure laptops, desktop computers, peripherals, and related hardware are properly configured, documented, maintained, and ready for deployment.\nYou will collaborate with IT support teams, asset managers, and end users to deliver high-quality technology solutions while maintaining inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and security standards.\nCore Responsibilities\nBuild, image, configure, deploy, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, and peripheral devices.\nConfigure computer workstations and peripheral equipment including printers, routers, monitors, and related hardware.\nInspect computer hardware, components, and accessories to ensure proper functionality and performance.\nInstall, configure, validate, and troubleshoot operating systems, drivers, software applications, and enterprise tools.\nPerform hardware diagnostics, repair, part replacement, and troubleshooting for workstation equipment.\nMaintain local networks and connectivity to support reliable performance and uptime.\nEnsure security and privacy standards are maintained across systems, devices, and network configurations.\nProvide user orientation and technical guidance on new equipment, software, and workplace technology.\nCoordinate upgrades, deployments, refresh cycles, and maintenance schedules to minimize user disruption.\nDiagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and peripheral issues.\nSupport asset lifecycle management including receiving, deployment, refresh, inventory tracking, and retirement of equipment.\nMaintain accurate inventory records, deployment logs, asset documentation, and maintenance plans.\nIdentify equipment shortages, replacement needs, and initiate ordering requests.\nAssist with workstation refresh projects, endpoint deployments, and technology rollout initiatives.\nSupport desktop support and IT support operations by ensuring devices are deployment-ready and fully functional.\nAdditional Responsibilities\nManage shipping and receiving activities for depot computer equipment.\nHandle physical and logical hardware inventory using Helix, Teams, and other depot management tools.\nCreate, update, and maintain Depot Knowledge Base Articles (KBAs), technical documentation, and process guides.\nMaintain accurate hardware inventory records and support equipment lifecycle tracking.\nWhat You Bring to the Team\nEducation & Experience\nMinimum Requirements\nHigh school diploma and 2-3 years of experience in desktop support, PC system support, computer deployment, depot operations, hardware support, or equivalent technical training.\nPreferred\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.\nLicenses & Certifications\nPreferred\nCompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or related IT certifications.\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities\nThe ideal PC Depot Technician will bring hands-on experience supporting desktop hardware, workstation deployments, asset management, computer imaging, and end-user technology support within a depot, service desk, or technical support environment.\nProven experience as a PC Depot Technician, IT Technician, Desktop Support Technician, Hardware Technician, Deployment Technician, or similar technical role.\nExperience imaging, configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting Windows-based workstations and laptops.\nStrong knowledge of computer systems, desktop hardware, peripherals, operating systems, and networking fundamentals.\nExperience supporting hardware inventory management, asset tracking, and equipment lifecycle processes.\nStrong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication, customer service, and end-user support abilities.\nOutstanding organizational, documentation, and time-management skills.\nKnowledge of internet security, data privacy, endpoint security, and technology deployment best practices.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with technical teams, asset managers, logistics personnel, and end users.\nExperience working with ticketing systems, technical documentation, and knowledge management processes.\nDepot imaging, workstation deployment, hardware staging, or computer deployment experience is highly desirable.\nWhy This Role Matters\nAs a PC Depot Technician, you will ensure employees have reliable, secure, and well-configured technology needed to do their best work.
