Saturday through Wednesday \n Pay Rate: 25,000 (MXN)\nYour Mission as a SOC Engineer I\nAs a SOC Engineer I, you will monitor security alerts and events, perform initial threat triage, and escalate incidents as needed to help maintain a secure and resilient operational environment . \nMonitor and respond to alerts across security, network, systems, and cloud platforms.\nFollow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to triage, resolve, or escalate issues appropriately.\nMaintain accurate documentation of incidents, investigations, and daily operational activities.\nCollaborate with senior engineers and analysts to develop technical and investigative skills.\nParticipate in on-call rotations and shift coverage as required to support 24x7 operations.\nAdhere to company policies, client requirements, and compliance standards.\nIdentify opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency.\nSecurity Operations Responsibilities\nMonitor SIEM, EDR, and threat intelligence platforms for actionable security alerts.\nPerform initial triage and event correlation using established runbooks and procedures.\nValidate alerts to reduce false positives and improve operational effectiveness.\nEscalate suspicious activity and potential security incidents to senior team members.\nSupport vulnerability management initiatives by tracking remediation efforts.\nDocument investigation findings and response actions for compliance and operational purposes.\nSystems Operations Responsibilities\nMonitor server health, services, and infrastructure performance using operational dashboards.\nPerform basic triage on system alerts involving service interruptions, resource utilization, and storage concerns.\nLeverage foundational knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Active Directory environments.\nAssist with routine operational tasks such as service restarts, log collection, and patch validation.\nEscalate complex issues following established procedures and SOPs.\nMaintain accurate documentation of incidents and resolutions.\nCloud Operations Responsibilities\nMonitor Azure, AWS, and Microsoft 365 environments for availability, performance, and critical alerts.\nReview monitoring platforms such as Azure Monitor and AWS CloudWatch to validate service health.\nIdentify and escalate issues affecting production cloud environments and business operations.\nAssist with validating backup success, replication status, and recovery readiness.\nSupport cloud governance and compliance initiatives through established operational processes\nWhat You Bring to the Team\nEducation & Certifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\nAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred.\nInternship experience or relevant coursework in networking, cybersecurity, or systems administration is a plus.\nPreferred certifications (or willingness to obtain):\nCompTIA A+\nCompTIA Network+\nCompTIA Security+\nMicrosoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)\nCisco Certified Support Technician (CCST)\n\nExperience & Skills\n0-1 year of experience in a help desk, technical support, SOC, or IT operations environment.\nFoundational understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as phishing, malware, vulnerabilities, and least privilege.\nBasic knowledge of networking and systems concepts including IP addressing, DNS, firewalls, and Windows/Linux operating systems.\nStrong attention to detail with the ability to follow structured processes and accurately document work performed.\nAbility to manage multiple alerts, prioritize effectively, and escalate issues appropriately.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nEagerness to learn, accept feedback, and continuously develop technical skills.\nBasic familiarity with SIEM, EDR, ticketing systems, or security tools through coursework, labs, internships, or self-study is a plus.\nAbility to support a 24/7/365 operational environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays when needed.\nWhy This Role Rocks\nAs a SOC Engineer I, you won't just monitor alerts, you'll build the foundation for a successful career in cybersecurity.
