Assistant Communications Manager
Role Purpose
Dyson is seeking a dynamic Assistant Communications Manager to lead Product Communications across Greater China, with additional responsibility for Internal Communications. This role will position Dyson as the benchmark for engineering-led innovation, drive consumer preference, and strengthen employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Product Communications
Develop and execute integrated communications strategies for new product launches (NPD).
Localize messaging to resonate with regional consumer priorities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with tier-1 and tier-2 media outlets, influencers, and industry stakeholders.
Secure impactful coverage that reinforces Dyson’s innovation leadership and premium positioning.
Partner with marketing and commercial teams to ensure consistent messaging across channels.
Support Greater China leadership in delivering clear, engaging internal communications.
Develop content and campaigns that strengthen employee understanding of Dyson’s vision, strategy, and values.
Manage internal communication channels (intranet, newsletters, town halls) to ensure timely and consistent updates.
Collaborate with HR and leadership teams to drive employee engagement and alignment.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
5 years of experience in communications, preferably within consumer technology, lifestyle, or innovation-driven industries.
Proven track record in product PR and media relations in Greater China.
Strong writing and storytelling skills in both English and Mandarin.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects under tight deadlines.
Experience in internal communications and employee engagement programs is a plus.
Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability.
