For existing and for future Dyson products.\nDyson Cost Management is seeking a highly motivated Manager and Team Leader for our Cost Engineering team in China to work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement and Finance teams to ensure our cost competitiveness. As the Manager Cost Engineering within Group Finance team, you will have a significant contribution to the profitability of our inventions and innovations. Your work will have a direct impact on our product cost, our product designs, and our manufacturing processes.\nAbout the role\n· Establish and lead a local team to generate bottom up Should Cost / Best Practice product cost calculations.\n· Establish state of the art Cost & Value Engineering methods and processes.\n· Support target cost setting process.\n· Lead competitor teardown/benchmarks.\n· Analyse supplier quotes and cost breakdowns of parts and tooling concepts to support procurement team.\n· Generate and drive implementation of (Design-to-Cost) cost reduction ideas.\n· Manage internal knowledge domain and reference calculation models.\n· Enhance total cost management process and digitalization.\nAbout you\n· A degree in Engineering with experiences in process and part optimization (electronics and/or mechanics).\n· Project and/or team leadership experiences.\n· In-depth knowledge and proven track record in Cost Engineering.\n· In-depth knowledge on manufacturing technologies - understanding of cost structure and margin structure of purchased and in-house manufactured parts.\nDyson is an equal opportunity employer.
