Positioned at the intersection of data engineering and analytics, this role will enable informed decision-making through reliable data products, scalable data solutions, and impactful visualizations.\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Data Analysis & Insights\nAnalyze product, engineering, and machine data to generate actionable insights for Engineering and other teams within Dyson.\n\nTranslate stakeholder requirements into analytical frameworks, KPIs, metrics, and business-ready outputs.\n\nDevelop Python and SQL-based analyses to support business and engineering decision-making.\n\nIdentify trends, anomalies, opportunities, and performance drivers through exploratory and structured data analysis.\n\nPresent findings and recommendations in a clear and meaningful manner to stakeholders.\n\n2. Data Pipeline & ETL Management\nSupport the setup, validation, and maintenance of end-to-end data pipelines spanning: Amazon S3 → Google Cloud Storage (GCS) → BigQuery\n\nBuild and maintain ETL workflows to create clean, reliable, and business-ready datasets.\n\nAutomate pipeline processes and implement monitoring to ensure data quality, reliability, and availability.\n\nTroubleshoot data issues and collaborate with technical teams to improve data integrity and scalability.\n\n3. Visualization & Reporting\nDesign, develop, and maintain dashboards using Tableau and/or Streamlit.\n\nCreate visualizations that effectively communicate product performance, usage trends, validation outcomes, and other operational metrics.\n\nEnable self-service analytics capabilities for stakeholders through intuitive reporting solutions.\n\nEnsure dashboards remain accurate, performant, and aligned with evolving business needs.\n\nRequired Skills & Experience\nStrong proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and data manipulation.\n\nExperience working with cloud-based data platforms, preferably BigQuery, GCP, and AWS S3.\n\nHands-on experience building and maintaining ETL/data pipelines.\n\nExperience with data visualization and dashboarding tools such as Tableau and/or Streamlit.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.\n\nAbility to translate business requirements into analytical solutions and actionable insights.\n\nExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working with product analytics, engineering telemetry, or user/machine data.\n\nExposure to data warehousing and modern analytics architectures.\n\nFamiliarity with data quality monitoring and automation practices.\n\nExperience supporting engineering, product, or R&D organizations.\n\nExpected Outcomes\nThe successful candidate will:\nDeliver meaningful insights from product and engineering datasets.\n\nImprove accessibility and visibility of key metrics through dashboards and reports.\n\nEnsure reliable, scalable, and high-quality data pipelines.\n\nEnable data-driven decision-making across engineering and other initiatives.\n\nDyson is an equal opportunity employer.
