Dyson is a technology company founded in 1991 by James Dyson after he built more than five thousand prototypes of a bagless vacuum cleaner that no established manufacturer would license. It applies high-speed digital motors and airflow engineering across vacuum cleaners, hair care products including the Supersonic and Airwrap, air purifiers, lighting and headphones, and sells almost entirely direct to consumers at premium prices. The company moved its head office from Wiltshire to Singapore in 2019 to sit closer to its Asian manufacturing and markets, remains privately held by the Dyson family, and funds an engineering university at its Malmesbury campus.

  • Validate SKU readiness and system status in SAP IBP, and ensure proper upload and sign-off aligned with regional timelines.
  • Prepare baseline demand submissions and finalize forecasts for monthly leadership sign-off.

2. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply, Finance, Order Management, and Channel Management teams to understand drivers influencing forecast accuracy and inventory needs.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for demand planning related queries and adhoc requests across the region.
  • Collaborate with market teams to develop forecast plans to manage & execute product ranging (NPD launches & phase-out discontinuation)
  • Support weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly meetings with market teams, distributors, and business leadership.

3. Performance Analysis & Reporting

  • Monitor forecast accuracy and identify performance gaps through root cause analysis; implement corrective actions as required.
  • Generate and maintain regular reports and dashboards, communicating key insights, KPIs, and performance trends to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Prepare and present forecast updates, risk summaries, constraints, and opportunities at monthly IBP/S&OP meetings and Demand Review Meetings (DRM).

4. Inventory Management & Replenishment

  • Work with Supply Planning and Channel Management to minimize stockouts and reduce inventory risk.
  • Support allocation processes and ensure demand is shaped in line with supply and purchase order requirements.
  • Lead planning for excess depletion, end-of-life (EOP) SKU management, and spares and accessories demand validation.

5. Continuous Improvement & Systems Expertise

  • Drive initiatives to enhance demand planning methodologies, streamline processes, and increase forecast accuracy.
  • Support deployment and utilization of enabling technologies/solutions (e.g., SAP IBP) at market and regional level.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and deploy them to improve regional demand planning capabilities.

6. Data Management & Documentation

  • Maintain records of past forecast submissions (forecast waterfall), ensure compliance with process guidelines, and update trackers (e.g., Excess, NPD).
  • Validate SKU readiness and system status in SAP IBP, and ensure proper upload and sign-off aligned with regional timelines.
  • Ensure timely & accurate forecast upload into Dyson’s systems in each cycle in line with global demand process guidelines.
