We are a multi-disciplinary team responsible for developing the cutting-edge technologies that enable our products to have market leading performance and win the hearts of our users. We own and deliver the user-facing, primary function systems of our products. This encompasses our floor cleaning systems, separation & filtration systems, and electro-mechanical intelligent systems in our Home product category.\nAbout the role\nAs a member of the Product Performance team, your main responsibility will be to develop product performance systems from early concepts to mass production. You will own the system, and work with internal and external partners from various functions to design, integrate, verify, validate and deliver the system on spec, time, quality and cost.\nYour core day-to-day responsibilities will be to:\nPerform fundamental studies to build subject matter expertise in product performance technologies and systems\nScope and translate product business targets into product performance system requirements\nBreak down, plan and execute the work packages to develop product performance systems throughout the product development lifecycle\nDesign solutions to optimise product performance using a mixture of simulation, prototyping and experimentation\nDefine design specifications and production control specifications to implement the product performance design solutions and ensure achievement of product performance requirements\nProactively identify and manage risks throughout the development of product performance systems, troubleshooting and resolving issues that occur\nDevelop test methods and support verification, validation and manufacturing test plans for product performance systems\nManage communications and relationships with stakeholders and partners\nAs a Lead Engineer, you will also be expected to:\nLead a team of internal and/or external partners to deliver product performance systems\nMentor and/or manage junior members of the team\nChampion and advance the technical knowledge, capabilities, processes and best practices of the team to drive technical excellence\nAbout you\nTo be successful in this role, you should have:\nA Bachelor’s Degree or higher qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or Physics (other engineering, science and technology disciplines can be considered)\nExperience in developing mechanical or electro-mechanical systems in consumer products\nProven competencies in any of the following: physics, mechanical design, fluid dynamics, filtration, programming, data acquisition, signal processing, data analysis, statistics, image processing, machine learning, simulation, systems thinking, failure analysis\nApplication of any of the following tools and methodologies: CAD, MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python, C/C++, NIDAQs, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, Arduino, Minitab, 8D problem solving, Lean Six Sigma, FMEA\nClear logical and critical thinking, with an attention to detail and deep passion for good design\nHigh drive, sense of ownership, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment with a growth mindset\nStrong interpersonal skills to lead, collaborate, and manage stakeholders, using written and verbal English.
