This is a senior individual contributor role where you will take ownership of significant areas of the iOS platform, lead complex feature development, and contribute to shaping our technical direction.\nYou are skilled in iOS engineering, proactive in driving improvements, and comfortable working across teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.\nOur Tech\nOur iOS app uses a modular architecture and follows modern design patterns such as MVVM and/or Clean Architecture.\nWe primarily use:\nSwift as our core language\n\nSwift Concurrency (async/await) and Combine for asynchronous programming\n\nUIKit and increasingly SwiftUI for UI development\n\nDependency injection patterns for modular and testable code\n\nNetworking layers built on URLSession and/or third-party abstractions\n\nOur testing stack includes XCTest for unit and UI testing. We continuously evaluate tools and frameworks to enhance code quality, developer productivity, and app performance.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nOwn and deliver complex features and systems within the iOS app, ensuring high quality and scalability\n\nContribute to architectural decisions and technical design, collaborating with senior engineers and tech leads\n\nWrite clean, maintainable, and well-tested code aligned with modern iOS best practices\n\nWork closely with cross-functional teams including product, design, QA, cloud, and embedded engineering\n\nDrive improvements in app performance, reliability, and maintainability\n\nParticipate actively in design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions, providing thoughtful feedback\n\nMentor and guide other engineers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing\n\nEvaluate and drive adoption of new tools, frameworks, and approaches to enhance engineering effectiveness\n\nContribute to technical planning by providing input on trade-offs, dependencies, and implementation strategies\n\nAbout You\nYou are passionate about building high-quality mobile experiences that improve users’ everyday lives\n\nYou thrive in collaborative, Agile environments and take ownership of your work\n\nYou have 8+ years of experience building and shipping iOS applications used by real customers\n\nYou have strong expertise in Swift and modern iOS architectures (e.g., MVVM, Clean Architecture)\n\nYou are experienced with asynchronous programming (e.g., async/await, Combine, or similar)\n\nYou have a solid understanding of app performance, memory management, and debugging\n\nYou are experienced with unit and UI testing, and understand the importance of quality engineering practices\n\nYou have experience owning features or subsystems end-to-end, from design to production\n\nYou are comfortable influencing technical decisions within your team\n\nYou actively support and mentor other engineers\n\nYou are pragmatic and delivery-focused, while maintaining a high bar for engineering quality\n\nYou are comfortable using AI-powered developer tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar) to improve productivity, applying sound engineering judgment to validate outputs\n\nDyson is an equal opportunity employer.
