The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the quality aspects of new product delivery projects and continuous improvement initiatives for robot products. This role is critical in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety throughout their lifecycle.\nKey Responsibilities:\nNew Product Delivery:\nLead and manage quality assurance activities during the new product development phase and lifecycle activities.\nOversee the execution of product realisation (i.e. design input process, design verification and validation activities, design transfer) and lifecycle management.\nDrive risk management activities, design quality and process quality related activities during the product life cycle.\nRepresents the Quality team and member of cross-functional Project Leadership Team and provides regular quality performances.\nProvide leadership in design quality throughout product development, ensuring integration of quality standards into design.\nPossess strong technical expertise in DFX methodologies and related areas, including manufacturing, assembly, and testing.\nQuality’s voice in the design reviews and Milestone reviews - Ensuring risks are clearly articulated and mitigation strategy is plausible and robust.\nLead quality related problem solving and root cause analysis during design and manufacturing.\nProactively identify and mitigate risks in manufacturing process.\nEnable and ensure supplier compliance to Product/Process specification and relevant regulatory requirements.\nContinuous Improvement:\nIdentify and drive continuous improvement initiatives for mature products.\nAnalyse product performance data and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement.\nLead and facilitate corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues.\nCollaborate with cross functional teams (i.e development, manufacturing, engineering, marketing teams) to enhance product quality, reliability and performance.\nMonitor and report on the effectiveness of improvement activities.\nProvide training and support to staff on quality-related topics.\nCapabilities and Requirements:\nEducation and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in a quality assurance role or relevant Technical roles within a product development environment.\nExperience in the consumer electronics industry is preferred, with robotic vacuum cleaner experience highly desirable.\n\n Technical Skills:Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements (IEC60335)\nProficiency in Technical Project / Program management with PMP certification preferred.\nProficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g. DfX, FMEA, Six Sigma, 8D, SPC, APQP).\nExperience with product validation and verification processes.\nExperience with Process / Design Risk assessment and mitigation.\nExperience with Supplier Management in Quality and/or Development functions\nFamiliarity with reliability engineering principles and practices.\n\n Soft Skills:Excellent leadership and team management skills.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\nEffective communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.\nAssertiveness to safeguard product quality\nDetail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvements.\n\nDyson is an equal opportunity employer.
