Dyson battery management systems provide the high-power energy sources required to power all Dyson product categories. As part of this group, we are looking to expand our Power Electronics capability in SEA\nAbout the role\nWe are looking for an experienced Lead Power Electronics Engineer to drive the development of battery management systems.\nLead the development and integration of battery management systems (BMS), inverters, switched-mode power supplies (SMPS), charging and protection circuits, and power-conversion solutions that meet global product and regulatory requirements.\nLead detailed circuit design, simulation, component selection, schematic and PCB layout reviews, tolerance analysis, thermal assessment, design verification, and technical documentation.\nCollaborate with software, mechanical, battery, manufacturing, quality, safety, test, and compliance teams to deliver robust, reliable, manufacturable, and launch-ready designs.\nProvide technical leadership for power electronics and BMS development across major projects, subsystems, platforms, or product categories.\nDefine the technical approach, architecture, interfaces, risk-management plan, validation strategy, and design-review process, and steer production-intent delivery for the assigned scope.\nLead technical reviews and communicate complex engineering topics, progress, options, risks, and recommendations clearly to engineers, project leaders, and senior stakeholders.\nDrive the adoption of improved tools, methods, standards, reusable platforms, and best practices for simulation, verification, validation, and design documentation across projects and teams.\nDevelop engineers through coaching, mentoring, delegation, and technical reviews while strengthening engineering discipline and knowledge sharing\nAbout you\nWorking at the forefront of technology is challenging, so standards and expectations are high. You’ll be contributing to live projects from the start, so you’ll need to be curious, hungry to learn and ready to get stuck in. But it’s not just about technical expertise. You’ll need to:\nHold a degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Power Electronics, or a comparable discipline, with substantial industrial product-development experience.\nHave typically 6 or more years of industry experience in power electronics, battery management systems, or comparable complex hardware development environments.\nDemonstrate strong and broad technical capability in BMS and secondary battery technologies, including sensing, cell monitoring, protection, gate driver control, thermal considerations, and system integration.\nProven ability to lead circuit and system design, architecture definition, simulation, schematic review, PCB layout review, component selection, tolerance stacks, derating, validation strategy, failure analysis, EMC/EMI mitigation, and design for manufacturability.\nSolid understanding of basic principles of semiconductor devices such as MOSFET, BJT and diode.\nProficient in circuit simulation (i.e: SiMetrix, SPICE or Matlab), analysis, test-method development, laboratory validation, and the use of relevant electronic test equipment.\nApply strong knowledge of global safety, reliability, EMC/EMI, thermal, regulatory, quality, and manufacturing requirements, with experience applying them to production-intent designs.\nAble to independently solve complex design problems, assess technical risk, document evidence, and communicate recommendations to multidisciplinary teams and project stakeholders.\nExperience in applying AI-enabled tools or AI-augmented engineering workflows for hardware design, verification, validation, documentation, test automation, or test environment optimization is a plus.\nExperience in technical reviews, supplier discussions, design verification, compliance activities, and manufacturing readiness.\nExperience in mentoring engineers and influence engineering practice.\nFluent in spoken and written English.\nAbove all, you’ll want to play a key part in bringing the next generation of Dyson technology to the world.\nDyson is an equal opportunity employer. We know that great minds don’t think alike, and it takes all kinds of minds to make our technology so unique. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and employment decisions are made without regard to race, colour, religion, national or ethnic origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, protected veteran status or other any other dimension of diversity.","description_format":"text","description_chars":4691,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":6,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"English","level":"All levels","optional":false}]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Electrical & Electronic Engineering","Home Appliances"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-09T09:09:13Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":90,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.903,"p_room":1,"age_days":3,"expected_fill_days":30,"reasons":["conf:9","velocity","win:early","comp:brand"],"computed_at":"2026-10-13T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/dyson-lead-power-electronics-engineer-3","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/dyson-lead-power-electronics-engineer-3.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-13T18:00:25Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":27477,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-14T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":160},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=160"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fdyson-lead-power-electronics-engineer-3"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fdyson-lead-power-electronics-engineer-3"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fdyson-lead-power-electronics-engineer-3"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/dyson-lead-power-electronics-engineer-3\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fdyson-lead-power-electronics-engineer-3"}]}
