By leveraging automation and modern cloud technologies, we help teams innovate faster, reduce operational overhead, and focus on building great products.\nAbout the Role\nAs a Platform Engineer, Google Cloud Platform, you will:\nDesign, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure and shared platform services on GCP.\nDevelop Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform and platform automation tooling.\nBuild and operate Kubernetes-based platforms and cloud-native services.\nImplement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and platform integrations.\nSupport cloud networking, identity management, observability, and operational tooling.\nCollaborate with security teams to implement governance, compliance, and security controls.\nMonitor platform health, availability, performance, and operational reliability.\nTroubleshoot production issues and participate in incident response and continuous improvement activities.\nCreate reusable templates, standards, and self-service capabilities that improve developer experience.\nPartner with architects and engineering teams to enable adoption of cloud best practices.\nSupport cloud cost optimization initiatives and contribute to platform efficiency improvements.\nProduce technical documentation, operational runbooks, and platform standards.\nAbout You\nYou will likely possess:\nA degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.\nExperience building and operating solutions on Google Cloud Platform.\nStrong knowledge of GCP services including Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, IAM, VPC, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, and Cloud Monitoring.\nHands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.\nExperience with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native technologies.\nKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.\nUnderstanding of cloud security, networking, identity management, and governance principles.\nExperience with Linux administration and scripting using Python, Bash, or similar languages.\nFamiliarity with monitoring, logging, observability, and Site Reliability Engineering practices.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a passion for automation.\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across globally distributed teams.\nDesirable Experience\nGoogle Cloud Professional Cloud Engineer or related certifications.\nExperience operating platforms in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and GCP).\nExposure to FinOps and cloud cost optimization practices.\nExperience with cloud platform engineering, developer platforms, or Internal Developer Platforms (IDP).\nFamiliarity with platform security, policy-as-code, and cloud governance frameworks.\nKey Behaviors\nDemonstrates strong ownership and accountability.\nContinuously seeks opportunities to automate and improve.\nMaintains a customer-first mindset when building platform services.\nCollaborates effectively across engineering and business teams.\n• Embraces learning, innovation, and engineering excellence.\nDyson is an equal opportunity employer.
