The Robotics Innovation team develops feature and format proofs-of-concept using using state of the art techniques and integrates all aspects of robotics to create robotic products that are truly different and better.\nAbout The Role\nAs a Graduate Robotics Software Engineer, you will design and develop core robotics behaviours and features for intelligent products, contributing to high-performance, reliable, and scalable robotic systems. You will work within a cross-functional team to solve real-world robotics problems, particularly in autonomous behaviours and perception. Your responsibilities may include:\nContributing to the ideation, exploration and proof-of-concept implementation of new feature and product concepts\nDesigning, implementing, testing or extending functional components and tools of our software platforms in C++ and Python\nResearching, evaluating and potentially integrating state of the art Robot Learning methods\nEmploying Design of Experiments to benchmark method or system performance\nWorking with physical robot platforms and components\nCollaborating closely with team mates and experts in robotics, software, hardware and machine learning\nProactively adopting best engineering practices within the Dyson framework\nAbout You\nYou’re enthusiastic about technology, creative and tenacious in your approach to problem solving. You’re inquisitive by nature, hungry to learn and ready to get stuck in, which will allow you to contribute to live projects from the start. You’ll further need:\nFundamental knowledge of Python and/or C++\nAbility to apply your programming skills effectively in real-world projects\nAbility to work independently on tasks while knowing when to seek clarification, support, or feedback\nClear communication of technical concepts, both verbally and in documentation\nDemonstrable experience applying your skills through course, personal or society projects\nA creative approach to problem-solving, combined with strong attention to detail\nPrior experience with ROS2, Deep Learning frameworks (PyTorch) or physics simulators (MuJoCo, Isaac Sim)\nPrior research or engineering experience with semantic understanding, interactive navigation, multi-modal generative models, finetuning foundations models or whole-body control of articulated robots is a plus\nDyson is an equal opportunity employer.
