Your core focus will be engineering seamless device-to-app pairing solutions via the Dyson Link app, alongside designing and building high-performance APIs and microservices. Operating with good autonomy, you will champion technical excellence while actively mentoring and coaching junior engineers to foster team growth\nYou will be using Node.js, C# or whatever is right for the job - to run in containers or as serverless functions within the AWS cloud. You will be responsible for features from inception to delivery, ensuring that all software produced is to the highest standard. You will be working collaboratively with the team in paired programming and mobbing sessions to ensure that we deliver the right solution for the problem at hand.\nThe team follow agile methodologies and are keen to ensure that the latest and best practices for software development are followed; all team members are encouraged to contribute to these evolving standards.\nYou'll be doing:\nDesign, develop, test, and deploy microservice and serverless applications on AWS.\nMonitor, measure, and investigate production issues and lead issues to closure\nUnderstand integration with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and orchestration.\nBuild and manage end to end ETL pipelines for data ingestion from disparate sources\nBuild data rollups and data structures aligned with data analysis requirements\nDevelop and deploy dashboards using Tableau (other BI tools) to facilitate data analysis and reporting.\nWorking in team-based development sessions to share knowledge and responsibilities\nActively mentoring and coaching junior engineers\nEncouraged to learn new technologies and skills as part of continuous growth\nYou’ll have:\nSound foundation in Cloud Architecture and Development\nWorking experience with cloud platform (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)\nWorking experience with Docker or other virtualisation tools\nKnowledgeable in cloud-native technologies: microservices, serverless computing, containers, APIs.\nGood hands-on experience with continuous integration and delivery techniques and tools.\nGood knowledge in Tableau and other BI tools\nGood Knowledge in DotNet Core or NodeJS development\nExperience in building production quality software\nExposure to or hands on knowledge with automated testing (Unit / Integration)\nFamiliarity with Agile working practices\nOutstanding communication skills\nPlease apply if you:\nThink this sounds fun\nLike resolving complicated problems\nAn interest in learning new technologies, skills and techniques\nHave experience with some of our technologies and tools\nTake pride in writing great code\nHave a strong background in software engineering\nDyson is an equal opportunity employer.
