Detailed Job Scope (Roles & Responsibilities)\nThe senior engineer will operate as a competent practitioner of the systems engineering & verification team.\nThe senior engineer shall work at the core of our product development process and use established systems engineering tools and methods to bring clarity from ambiguity.\nTranslate our product vision into clear and concise user, business, and product requirements.\nCreate and manage the verification strategy to ensure traceability on test cases to product requirements.\nIdentify the test cases and methodologies to verify the requirements.\nIdentify the test method required for test cases to perform design and product verification.\nUsing MBSE methods to develop product architectures, decomposing the problem into digestible functional, physical, logical, and behavioural chunks.\nCreating unambiguous useable requirements for engineers to design to.\nBuild and coordinate system wide simulations to help us balance requirements early.\nWork collaboratively with all our engineering teams to clarify work packages, manage trade-off studies, and resolve engineering issues.\nCoach a growing core team of Systems Engineers of all levels of expertise. Coaching & Mentoring shall exist at all levels and in all directions within the team as it grows.\nDriving the Systems Engineering process and ethos into the wider company, educating other RDD employees in Systems Engineering to resolve technical challenges.\nFollowing a Leader-Leader mentality working as an emancipated team. Qualifications\nA first degree in mechanical / mechatronics / electrical / electronic / software engineering\nExperience in Systems Engineering processes and applications with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a product development environment.\nDemonstrable experience in performing systems breakdown, architecture definition and using functional analysis techniques resulting in well written unambiguous requirements.\nCapable of working in an agile and autonomous manner.\nA good grasp of MBSE including experience building SysML models using Systems Engineering Modelling Software\nAdditionally, experience with Requirements Management Tools and Product Lifecycle Management tools is desirable but not essential\nA clear, logical thinker with attention to detail and an appreciation for engineering fundamentals and critical analysis.\nDyson is an equal opportunity employer.
