You will work with a multidisciplinary team of hardware, firmware, controls, mechanical, and system engineers to bring cutting-edge technologies from concept to production.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, influencing product architecture, and driving innovation in power electronics.\nWhat You'll Do\nLead Power Electronics Development\nDesign and develop motor drive hardware for high-performance electromechanical systems.\nDevelop heater drive hardware and power control solutions.\nDesign APFC circuits and power conversion systems to meet efficiency, performance, and regulatory requirements.\nArchitect AC-DC and DC-DC power electronics solutions for next-generation products.\nSelect and evaluate power semiconductor technologies including MOSFET, IGBT, SiC, and GaN devices.\nDrive Technical Excellence\nDevelop robust power stage, gate driver, sensing, protection, and thermal management designs.\nPerform circuit simulations, hardware validation, and design optimisation.\nConduct root cause analysis and resolve complex technical issues.\nDrive design reviews and ensure hardware quality, reliability, manufacturability, and cost targets are achieved.\nShape Future Platforms\nContribute to platform-level power architecture and technology roadmaps.\nEvaluate emerging technologies and industry trends in power electronics.\nInfluence technical decisions and architectural direction across multiple product programmes.\nCollaborate Across Disciplines\nPartner closely with firmware, controls, systems, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality teams.\nSupport product development from concept through production launch and sustaining activities.\nWork with suppliers and external partners to qualify components and technologies.\nMentor and Lead\nProvide technical leadership and coaching to other engineers.\nEstablish engineering best practices, design standards, and lessons learned.\nChampion a culture of innovation, engineering rigour, and continuous improvement.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nQualifications\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Power Electronics, Mechatronics, or related disciplines.\nMinimum 8 years of industry experience in power electronics hardware design and development.\nEssential Experience\nMotor drive hardware design (BLDC, PMSM, or similar motor technologies).\nHeater drive and power control systems.\nAPFC power supply design.\nAC-DC and DC-DC converter design.\nHigh-power and high-efficiency power electronics systems.\nProduct development from concept through production.\nTechnical Skills\nStrong understanding of power electronics topologies including:\nPFC, Flyback, LLC, Buck, Boost, Half-Bridge, Full-Bridge\nExperience with:\nPower semiconductor devices (MOSFET, IGBT, SiC, GaN)\nCircuit simulation tools such as LTspice, PSpice, SIMPLIS, or MATLAB/Simulink\nHardware design tools such as Altium or Cadence\nPreferred Experience\nEMI/EMC design and troubleshooting.\nRegulatory and safety compliance standards (IEC, UL, CE).\nReliability engineering and failure analysis.\nDesign for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT).\nWhy Join Us?\nWork on challenging and innovative power electronics technologies.\nInfluence the architecture of future product platforms.\nCollaborate with highly skilled engineers across multiple disciplines.\nOpportunity to grow into Principal Engineer, Architect, or Technical Leadership roles.\nMake a meaningful impact on products used by customers around the world.\nBenefits\nDyson Singapore monitors the market to ensure competitive salaries and bonuses.
