Responsible for ensuring the facility, plant and office, \nis safely shut down and secure at the end of each shift. Responsible for ensuring accurate QA testing and \nreporting for inbound bar, inbound hardware, outbound product, for both Bar, Strand fabrication including \nExtrusion. \nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nPromotes a positive, safe working environment by leading safety meetings, conducting safetyobservations and encouraging safe work, every day.\n\nResolves issues and disputes between manufacturing employees.\nResponsible for training and overseeing the work of shop personnel.\nResponsible for KPI’s in the assigned areas and explaining variances. \nExecutes both Bar and Strand Fabrication orders to deliver products on time and within budget. \nExecutes Strand Extrusion line goals.\nResponsible for equipment upkeep in the assigned area.\nOversees shipping and receiving.\nCOMPETENCIES\nPassion for safety and plant and warehouse safety processes with an eye on safetyimprovements.\n\nBe able to multi-task, lead and direct shop personnel.\nBe proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suites and Outlook.\nAnalyzes and plans work force utilization, and workflows for maximum efficiency.\nHas an eye for continuous improvement.\nRecognize waste in manufacturing processes and work to eliminate waste at every turn.\nAbility to organize and maintain warehouse racks and processes. \nComfortable with constantly changing priorities on tight-deadlines and demanding customers.\nWorks primarily independently to achieve goals outlined by management.\nAbility to read and interpret drawings\nAbility to communicate performance to Operations Manager\nAbility to work & communicate in diverse groups from manufacturing floor workers to seniormanagement\n\nOther duties as assigned.\nREQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\nHigh School or equivalent degree with a minimum of 5 years’ Operations experience.\nExperience in plant Operations, scheduling, quality assurance and personnel.\nFamiliar with variety of metals manufacturing concepts, practices and procedures.\nFamiliar with warehouse storage and organization.\nExperience with order pulling, verifying and staging.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nDaily walking of the shop floor and as needed, outside on company grounds.\nWork in both office and plant environments daily.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands tofinger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
