The Project Manager reports directly to the Program Manager, organizes the day-to-day execution of tasks, manages and tracks project risks, and coordinates financial and schedule briefings both internally and externally. The successful candidate must have a strong project management discipline background along with experience running projects in the Aerospace and Defense industry. Specific demonstrated experience in leading successful projects in both R&D and production environments is required.\nRequired Duties and Responsibilities:\nPrepare project execution plans, schedules, and budgets while participating in all phases of project work from project kickoff to close out.\nManage and coordinate with key stakeholders responsible for the success of the project\nInterface with clients and relevant staff\nSupport the development of Master Phasing Schedules, Program Execution Schedule, Staffing Plan, Work Breakdown Structure and Financial Execution Plan\nReport all aspects of project directly to Program Manager\nRequired Skills/Qualifications:\nMust have Aerospace or Defense Contractor industry experience\nMinimum of 5+ years of industry experience as a Project Engineer and/or Project Manager overseeing project execution in the design/development or fielded operations program lifecycle phases.\nExperience managing a range of projects is required.\nExperience in expanding programs beyond the initial phase and customer\nProven ability, capacity, and aptitude with planning, organizing, supervising, coordinating work, and obtaining cooperation from others (must be able to build rapport with program management and key stakeholders)\nHigh level of scheduling skills\nSkilled in the use of IT tools, including spreadsheets, word processing, planning, and scheduling software.\nPreferred Skills/Qualifications:\nUnderstanding of Critical Chain Project Management, Earned Value and other project controls methods as they pertain to the Aerospace and Defense industry.\nExperience across the product lifecycle\nExperience in enterprise resourcing and planning tools\nExposure to multi-disciplinary engineering functions\nAbility to interpret engineering technical drawings, work instructions, and test procedures.\nExperience transitioning from LRIP to rate production is a plus\nExperience in proposal generation and capture\nEducation :\nBachelor’s degree in STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), Business Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nClearance Level Required: None, security Clearance not required but preferred\nExport Control / ITAR Requirement:\nThis position requires access to information and technology subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
