Join us!\nPosition Title: Quality Engineer\nLocation: Irvine, CA\nWork Arrangement: On-site\nPosition Summary\nThis position is a full-time position at the Irvine site of DZYNE Technologies LLC. The primary goal of this role is to ensure that products meet company quality standards and regulatory requirements. The Quality Engineer manages product performance, conducts audits, and drives continuous improvement to prevent defects and reduce variation.\nRequired Duties and Responsibilities:\nProcess & Product Oversight: Oversee production by monitoring operations, enforcing company quality standards and regulatory requirements.\n First Article Inspection (FAI): Review and approve FAIs per AS9102 requirements.\n New Product Introduction (NPI): Work with Engineering to ensure a \"flawless\" transition from a product's design phase into full-scale mass production. This includes but is not limited to KPCs identification, QCP development, DFM review, and product assessment and qualification.\n Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA): Lead failure analysis, Material Review Board (MRB) activities, and investigations to resolve assembly or field anomalies\nQuality Management Systems: Maintain compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001 standards, defining inspection criteria, control plans, and supporting development of test procedures\nDrawing Review: Review drawings as part of the pre-release drawing review process\n Process Improvement: Collaborate with suppliers to improve their manufacturing processes, utilizing tools like Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).\nInternal audit: Participate in internal audits to ensure the effective implementation of Quality Management System.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nRequired Qualifications & Skills:\n Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical) or a related technical field.\n Experience: 5 to 10+ years in quality, manufacturing, or hardware engineering within aerospace, defense, or unmanned aerial systems (UAS).\nEngineering Knowledge: Understand mechanical and electrical systems.\nTechnical Knowledge: Proficiency in GD&T, and IPC soldering/assembly standards.\nTroubleshooting & Support: Provide technical support and optimize system performance for end-users.\nCompliance: Working knowledge of AS9001 or ISO 9001 or other major Quality Management Systems\nStrong Collaboration & Communication: Ability to interface effectively with many internal and external groups\nPreferred Skills/Qualifications:\nProficiency in quality tools (QCP, FMEA), and Six Sigma or LEAN methodology\nKnowledge in quality tools (APQP, PPAP, MSA), and LEAN /Six Sigma methodology.\nEducation:\nA bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus.
