Join us.\nPosition Title: Sr. Embedded Software Engineer\nLocation: Irvine CA\nWork Arrangement: Hybrid\nPosition Summary\nWe are looking for a motivated and skilled Embedded Software Engineer team member who will be responsible for working with a cross-disciplinary team of engineers developing and maturing our rapidly growing family of counter drone technologies. This role will involve designing, developing, testing, and maintaining firmware and low-level software for embedded systems. This role will work in a software development and manufacturing environment where projects are realized with the highest degree of commitment to quality and efficiency.\nRequired Skills/Qualifications:\nExcellent written and oral communication skills \nAdaptable, eager to learn, and create, with a proactive attitude towards continuous improvement \nAbility to work in a small team to rapidly prototype and develop new products \n5-7 years relevant experience working with embedded Software \nUnderstanding of embedded system architectures \nExperience with Jira, and Git and continuous integration tools \nProficient with C/C++, Python, and firmware build and debug tools \nPreferred Skills/Qualifications:\nUnderstanding of serial data protocols (RS-232/485/422, I2C, SPI, CAN) \nFamiliarity with hardware debugging tools (JTAG/SWD debuggers) \nUnderstanding of automated build environments along with automated test and deployment \nComfortable using standard lab tools and equipment such as measurement instruments, diagnostic tools, and basic assembly equipment; e.g. oscilloscope, soldering iron, etc... \nExperience with embedded Linux (device trees, kernel modules, build systems like Yocto) \nUse of application Containers (Docker, rkt, podman) \nEducation:\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent time and experience in industry. \nTravel Required: None\nWorking Conditions:\nThe diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, such as a general office environment, to warehouse and other facilities.\nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:\nMust have the ability to stoop, stand, climb, occasionally lift a minimum of 25 lbs.\nInvolves movement between departments, floors, and worksites to facilitate work.\nWork Authorization Requirement:\nCandidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employment visa sponsorship.\nSalary: $125,000 - $166,000 annually\nSalary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus.
