Join us.\nPosition Title: Sr. Software Engineer\nLocation: Fairfax, VA\nWork Arrangement: Hybrid\nPosition Summary\nDZYNE Technologies is looking for a Software Engineer to take on the development and testing of ground control station (GCS) software. engineer will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality software systems, with a particular focus on ground control station software. The role involves building reliable, scalable applications that support mission-critical operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and participating throughout the full software development lifecycle.\nRequired Duties and Responsibilities:\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services\nCollaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality features\nWrite clean, efficient, and well-tested code in Python or Go, building new features and optimizing existing services (e.g., APIs, backend services)\nManage source code and branching strategies using Git and Gitflow\nTroubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance\nContribute to system architecture and technical decision-making\nSupport CI/CD processes and deployment workflows\nRequired Skills/Qualifications:\n5+ years of professional software engineering experience\nProficiency in Go and/or Python\nProficiency with Git and Gitflow\nSolid understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and code quality standards\nExperience building and maintaining production-grade applications\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively\nFamiliarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker)\nPreferred Skills/Qualifications:\nExposure to message queuing systems (e.g., ZeroMQ, RabbitMQ)\nExperience with APIs, microservices, or containerization technologies\nExperience with Java, C/C++, or other high level programming languages\nExperience with full-stack development and modern web frameworks (Node.js)\nExperience with Protobuffers and message serialization libraries\nExposure to DevOps practices and automated testing\nEducation:\nB.S. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent time and experience in the industry\nClearance Level Required: None required\nTravel Required: Up to 10%\nWorking Conditions:\nThe diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, such as a general office environment, to warehouse and other facilities.\nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:\nInvolves movement between departments, floors, and worksites to facilitate work.\nWork Authorization Requirement:\nCandidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employment visa sponsorship.\nSalary: $130,000 - $166,000 annually\nSalary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus.
