Join us.\nPosition Title: Staff Electronics Engineer, Effectors\nLocation: Irvine, CA\nWork Arrangement: On-site\nPosition Summary:\nDZYNE has an immediate need for a talented Electronics Engineer who will serve as a technical owner and hands-on contributor across the full lifecycle of DZYNE’s aircraft and launcher electrical systems. In this role, the engineer will perform circuit and subsystem design, system integration, troubleshooting, harness design, avionics/electronic system testing, and data analysis. This position reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager, while working directly with Vehicle Technical Leads and Program Managers.\nRequired Duties and Responsibilities:\nLead full PCB design cycle involving requirements, schematic design, component selection, supervision or completion of layout, bring-up, functional verification, and performance tests\nDesign, develop, integrate, and debug avionics systems/subsystems\nDevelop system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses connecting systems within the air vehicle\nSupport design updates driven by product improvements, obsolescence, and evolving requirements\nConduct peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews\nWork closely with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to support new product development and active deployments in a fast-paced environment\nMentor other engineers and promote sound engineering practices\nHere are examples of the platforms you will be working on\nGrasshopper Aerial Resupply Vehicle\nBlitz Expendable\nRequired Skills/Qualifications:\nMinimum 10 years of relevant industry experience\nDemonstrated capability in complex circuit board design, bring-up, signal/power integrity analysis, and validation\nProven experience in designing electronics from concept to functional prototype, including hardware selection, documentation, system level integration and troubleshooting\nIn-depth understanding of Analog/Mixed-signal, Digital, or RF circuit components\nDetailed working knowledge of common test equipment, and CAD tools such as Altium\nExcellent problem solving and planning skills\nProven communication and interpersonal skills\nPreferred Skills/Qualifications:\nExperience in designing electronics for robotic and/or aircraft systems\nHands-on experience with microcontrollers, common serial interfaces, high speed communication, and firmware/software integration\nUAV experience highly desirable\nExperience working in small to medium sized teams in a fast-paced R&D environment\nFamiliarity with MIL-spec hardware and harnessing\nEducation:\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field\nClearance Level Required: No Security Clearance is required\nTravel Required: Not required for daily activities, but probable travel once per quarter\nWorking Conditions:\nThe diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, such as a general office environment, to warehouse and other facilities.\nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:\nMust have the ability to stoop, stand, climb, occasionally lift a minimum of 25 lbs.\nInvolves movement between departments, floors, and worksites to facilitate work.\nExport Control / ITAR Requirement:\nThis position requires access to information and technology subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). As a result, employment is contingent upon meeting applicable export control eligibility requirements and compliance obligations.\nWork Authorization Requirement:\nCandidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employment visa sponsorship.\nSalary: $160,000 - $223,000 annually\nSalary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus.
