This role works closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and test teams to capture processes and translate technical information into clear, accurate, and usable documentation.\nThe successful candidate will help standardize and improve documentation such as Work Instructions, Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs), Ground Checkout Procedures (GCPs), manufacturing process documents, inspection criteria, and related technical content to support efficient production and verification of UAS hardware and systems.\nRequired Duties and Responsibilities:\nCreate, revise, and maintain manufacturing and test documentation for UAS products and subsystems.\nOrganize and standardize Work Instructions to improve clarity, consistency, and usability for production personnel.\nDevelop and update Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs), Ground Checkout Procedures (GCPs), and related verification documents.\nCollaborate with design, manufacturing, quality, integration, and test engineers to gather technical information and document processes accurately.\nObserve and document assembly, integration, inspection, and testing activities to ensure procedures reflect current practices.\nTranslate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, step-by-step instructions suitable for technicians and operators.\nIncorporate engineering change requests, design modifications, and process improvements into existing documentation.\nEnsure documents comply with company standards for formatting, revision control, and configuration management.\nDevelop visual aids, diagrams, photographs, and illustrations to enhance procedural documentation.\nSupport document reviews and coordinate feedback from cross-functional stakeholders.\nAssist with document audits and ensure documentation remains current and accurate throughout the product lifecycle.\nMaintain document repositories and support document release processes.\nRequired Skills/Qualifications:\n3+ years of technical writing experience in aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, defense, robotics, industrial systems, or a related technical environment.\nDemonstrated experience creating work instructions, procedures, process documentation, or test documentation.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nExperience working directly with engineers, technicians, and manufacturing personnel.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to document accuracy.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio or similar diagramming tools.\nAbility to manage multiple documentation projects and priorities simultaneously.\nFamiliarity with document control, revision management, and configuration management practices.\nPreferred Skills/Qualifications:\nExperience supporting Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), aerospace, defense, or aviation programs.\nExperience writing Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs), Ground Checkout Procedures (GCPs), qualification test procedures, or manufacturing work instructions.\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, assembly drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), specifications, and technical data.\nFamiliarity with aircraft electrical, mechanical, avionics, propulsion, or payload systems.\nExperience working in regulated or quality-managed environments, including AS9100, ISO 9001, or similar standards.\nExperience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), or document management systems.\nKnowledge of systems integration, hardware testing, troubleshooting, and verification activities.\nAbility to create technical illustrations, annotated photographs, and process flow diagrams.\nExperience supporting first article inspections, production readiness activities, or production scaling efforts.\nFamiliarity with engineering change orders (ECOs), configuration control processes, and manufacturing change implementation.\nWorking
