This onsite role will provide essential payroll support to the Payroll Supervisor. The Payroll Specialist is responsible for supporting with the full-cycle, multi-state payroll function across multiple entities. This individual supports some of the activities necessary to process payroll, including maintaining related records, address questions and issues, reports, reconciliations and ad hoc requests as necessary.\nThis role requires an understanding of payroll systems, compliance regulations, and internal controls. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in managing complex payroll functions in a fast-paced environment.\nRequired Duties and Responsibilities:\nPrepare and support processing of payroll runs across multiple U.S. states and entities, ensuring accuracy of hours, earnings, deductions, tax withholdings and compliance with internal policies and wage rules.\nHelp maintain compliance across U.S. states, including staying current on Federal, State, and Local payroll laws.\nSupport reconciliation of payroll data and benefits across systems, ledgers and vendors\nMaintain organized payroll documentation, tax records and update employee information to support accurate recordkeeping and payroll processing.\nInvestigate payroll questions, address discrepancies, and provide timely support to employees regarding pay-related matters, questions, errors and escalate to payroll supervisor as necessary.\nPrepare payroll reconciliations, internal reviews, audits (internal and external) and reporting activities.\nAd hoc requests as necessary.\nRequired Skills/Qualifications:\nExtensive knowledge of payroll processing, including payroll taxes, reconciliations, and internal controls\nStrong analytical, detail oriented, accuracy, problem-solving, and organizational skills\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills\nDemonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information\nFamiliarity with payroll/HRIS platforms and Microsoft Excel.\nAbility to work independently while flagging issues proactively.\nPreferred Skills/Qualifications:\n 4+ years of progressive payroll experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.\nExperience processing multi-state payroll and handling complex payroll scenarios preferred.\nClearance Level Required: None\nTravel Required: None\nWorking Conditions:\nThe diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, such as a general office environment, to warehouse and other facilities.\nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:\nMust have the ability to stoop, stand, climb, occasionally lift a minimum of 25 lbs.\nInvolves movement between departments, floors, and worksites to facilitate work.\nExport Control / ITAR Requirement: This position requires access to information and technology subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms.\nWork Authorization Requirement:\nCandidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employment visa sponsorship.\nSalary: TBD\nPay depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions.
