This position requires a strong foundation in systems engineering principles and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful execution of complex projects. The successful Systems Engineer will support technical planning, requirements development, system design, verification and validation, and risk management. Additionally, this role involves collaboration with program management, operations, and sustainment teams to deliver high-quality, mission-critical solutions in compliance with industry and government regulations.\nRequired Duties and Responsibilities:\nTranslate mission needs and technical objectives into clear, actionable system requirements\nDefine and manage system requirements and interfaces from early concept through integration and testing\nLead the planning and coordination of system validation activities, ensuring alignment with design and operational goals\nExecute system-level validation, including environmental testing, to ensure real-world readiness\nPartner with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, integration, and test functions to ensure seamless system development\nLead failure modes, reliability analysis, and risk management efforts across the development lifecycle\nContribute to system reviews and documentation to support safety, performance, and reliability\nLead/Perform technical reviews, providing engineering input and recommendations for continuous improvement\nRequired Skills/Qualifications:\n3+ years experience with aerospace and defense systems development programs as Systems Engineer\nA strong foundation in Systems Engineering principles, especially as applied to complex, multidisciplinary systems\nExperience in creating and validating environmental requirements (e.g., temperature, vibration, altitude)\nFamiliarity with the full system development lifecycle, from concept and design through test and delivery\nExcellent communication and documentation skills, especially in collaborative, cross-functional environments\nPreferred Skills/Qualifications:\nExperience in UAS or CUAS programs, aerospace, defense, robotics, or autonomous systems \nKnowledge of systems engineering tools and standards (e.g. Matlab, SysML, MBSE approaches)\nKnowledge of military standards for environmental testing (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, etc.)\nKnowledge of emerging aerospace technologies, including digital engineering, AI/ML applications, and autonomous systems.\nEducation:\nBachelors degree of Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace\nClearance Level Required: None\nExport Control / ITAR Requirement: This position requires access to information and technology subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms\nWork Authorization Requirement:\nCandidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employment visa sponsorship.\nTravel Required: 10% Not required for daily activities, but probable travel once per quarter.\nWorking Conditions:\nThe diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, such as a general office environment, to warehouse and other facilities.\nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:\nMust have the ability to stoop, stand, climb, occasionally lift a minimum of 25 lbs.\nInvolves movement between departments, floors, and worksites to facilitate work.\nSalary: $110,000 - $135,000 annually\nSalary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions.
