This flexible two-shifting plant has the capacity to generate up to 80MW of electricity and 200MW of heat. You’ll be part of the onsite team that ensures the smooth running of its day-to-day operation.\nThis is a busy role that will see you performing a wide range of tasks. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the safe, environmentally compliant and efficient operation of the plant while meeting customers' requirements in accordance with contractual, environmental and operational needs.\nKey responsibilities\nDelivering availability and reliability through investigations of fault conditions and incidents.\nActively promoting a culture of health, safety and environmental awareness. \nPrioritising workload and resource.\nProviding first line maintenance and fault diagnosis, escalating to the maintenance team when required. \nProactively supporting the maintenance team during technical projects and planned and reactive maintenance activities. \nContributing to developing the site Health & Safety plan and taking responsibility for implementing site objectives. \nLiaising with the client to ensure the site’s contractual obligations are maintained and a good working relationship is promoted. \nSupporting and working closely with other members of the site teams.\nWhat we need from you\nSubstantial relevant practical experience (Process, Electrical, C&I, Mechanical) within a similar role and/or process industry.\nClear knowledge and understanding of safety and environmental management including operational polices, standards, frameworks and statutory legislation. \nIOSH (Managing Safely), or equivalent qualification, demonstrating a clear knowledge of safety practices and management. \nA working knowledge of key PC based computer systems.\nIt would be great if you had\nAchieved, or working towards, NVQ level 3 in Power Plant Operations, or equivalent qualification.\nCapability of enacting all defined roles within the Electrical & Mechanical (E&M) Safety Rules, achieving all nominations required within agreed timescales.\nHere’s what you need to know\nAward-Winning Workplace - We’re proud to be named a Sunday Times Best Place to Work 2025 and the Best Place to Work for 16-34-year-olds.\nOutstanding Benefits - Enjoy 26 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, a generous pension, life cover, bonus opportunities, and access to 20 flexible benefits with tax/NI savings.\nFlexible & Family-Friendly - Our industry-leading hybrid and family-friendly policies earned us double recognition at the Personnel Today Awards 2024.
