You will support general repairs, preventive maintenance, and facility projects while learning from experienced technicians.\nThis is a hands-on role for someone who takes ownership of assigned work, responds with urgency, and follows through until the result is verified. You will work under experienced technicians and Facilities leadership, recognize the limits of your training, and ask for guidance before proceeding beyond your authorization.\nYour mission\nKeep facility needs moving from request to completion. Perform assigned maintenance safely, identify problems early, and help the team maintain dependable building systems and organized work areas. Bring initiative, a willingness to learn, and the drive to finish work correctly.\nWhat you will own\nGeneral building repairs. Assist with doors, hardware, ceiling tiles, drywall, painting, minor carpentry, and other routine facility repairs.\nInspections and preventive maintenance. Complete assigned checks and maintenance on schedule. Report leaks, damage, unusual equipment operation, and safety concerns promptly.\nSupport across maintenance trades. Assist with basic plumbing repairs, HVAC filter changes and accessible-component cleaning. Support qualified personnel with lighting and electrical maintenance only within your training and authorization.\nProject support. Help assemble furniture, install shelving and signage, move equipment, and prepare work areas using appropriate tools and handling methods. Assist with tasks requiring two-person support.\nWork orders and readiness. Document work performed, report outstanding needs, and keep tools, supplies, mechanical rooms, and storage areas organized.\nSafe execution. Follow site safety, lockout/tagout, and personal protective equipment procedures. Support contractors, planned shutdowns, and supervised emergency repairs as assigned.\nHow you lead\nBias for action. Respond promptly, confirm priorities, and take the next safe step. Communicate urgent issues immediately and seek direction when the task exceeds your training.\nExtreme ownership. Take responsibility for assigned work from start to finish. Raise obstacles early, communicate what help is needed, and follow through on commitments.\nRelentless follow-through. Understand what a completed task requires. Check your work with the appropriate technician or supervisor and close the loop with accurate records.\nHigh standards and direct communication. Give clear updates, ask questions, and report mistakes or unsafe conditions promptly. Never sacrifice safety or quality for speed.\nPresence where the work happens. Be dependable, help teammates, and learn through hands-on work. Look for practical improvements and take on increasing responsibility as your skills develop.\nWhat you bring\nZero to three years of facilities maintenance, building repair, mechanical work, or related experience. Trade school, apprenticeships, and hands-on projects count.\nHigh school diploma or equivalent; trade coursework or practical general maintenance experience is helpful.\nBasic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with common hand and power tools, with a willingness to learn multiple maintenance trades.\nAbility to follow instructions and safety procedures, recognize your training limits, and ask for help when needed.\nBasic computer skills for work orders, maintenance records, and progress updates.\nDependability, attention to detail, and a record of following through on commitments at work, in training, or on practical projects.\nAbility to work professionally with technicians, contractors, and other departments.\nAbility to perform hands-on maintenance involving standing, bending, carrying tools and materials, and using ladders or lifts, with appropriate training and reasonable accommodation as needed.\nExposure to plumbing, HVAC, electrical maintenance, carpentry, painting, maintenance software, inventory tracking, or manufacturing and laboratory facilities is a plus. Trade-program coursework and maintenance-related safety training are also helpful.\nWhat success looks like\nAssigned work is completed safely, on schedule, and documented accurately. Facility issues surface early, work areas stay organized, and the team receives clear updates. You become a dependable partner on projects and routine maintenance, develop practical skills, and take on more responsibility as your training allows.\nThis is a full-time, hourly (non-exempt) position based at our Arlington, TX facility.
