As a leading vertically integrated provider of ingots, wafers, solar cells, solar modules, solar power systems and specialized solar products, Canadian Solar delivers uncompromising value to its customers across the globe.\nPosition Title: Accounts Payable Clerk\nDepartment: Accounting\nReports To: Accounting Manager\nDescription:The successful candidate will be responsible for Accounts Payable and general accounting duties, including full cycle AP accounting requirements of all products and services.\nResponsibilities:\nMatch all source documents, Purchase Orders, purchase receipts, packing slips, invoices and data; Input information into the SAP Accounts Payable module\n\nEnsure invoices have appropriate approvals before processing\n\nProcess any credit notes for goods returned\n\nEnsure invoices are correctly charged to inventory, expenses, or CIP/Capital Assets\n\nPrepare monthly reconciliations for major vendors\n\nPrepare monthly reconciliation for AP sub-ledger to the General Ledger Control Account\n\nEnsure integrity of the purchase order information to vendor invoices\n\nPrepare payment runs, gather appropriate approvals and process payments\n\nCommunicate with vendors on invoice disputes and receiving and payments of outstanding accounts\n\nSupport other departments with vendor issues, pricing, and AP documentation\n\nAnalyse any exchange variances\n\nMaintain Accounting filing system and folders\n\nAssume responsibility for specific reports as required\n\nEnsure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Canadian Solar Solution Code of Business Conduct\n\nSupport ISO 9001 activities\n\nAdhere to all environmental, health and safety rules and policies\n\nConduct other duties as required\n\nQualifications and Experience:\nPost-Secondary education in Accounting or Finance required\n\nWork experience with Accounting and Operations preferred\n\nStrong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the executive team\n\nEffective written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills\n\nHighly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment\n\nAble to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently\n\nAdvanced Excel skills, effective working skills of MS Word, PowerPoint and e-mail\n\nAttention to detail in all areas of work#\n\nExcellent time and project management skills\n\nAble to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines\n\nHigh level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts\n\nStrong work ethic and positive team attitude\n\nNote: The company reserves the right to change the duties and responsibilities of this position at its own discretion.\nCanadian Solar Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
