In this role, you’ll play an integral part of the service team, primarily responsible for commissioning and performing preventative and corrective maintenance on SolBank Storage Power Block (SPB). This role also involves fulfilling obligations under Long Term Service Agreements (LTSA’s) for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. The successful candidate must be willing to travel and perform tasks at various project sites throughout Ontario. Experience with BESS or renewable power generation equipment in a service environment is required.\nResponsibilities:\nSupporting sites within your designated area for long-term service agreements.\nFill in as a field site supervisor or site lead.\nCoordinating with Project Manager, Commissioning Manager and LTSA manager to represent SolBank responsibilities through the commissioning process and LTSA.\nWorking with the customer during service and commissioning efforts planning, LOTO procedures depending on customer or CSE responsibilities.\nWork with coordinators to get STO and RMAs completed in a timely manner.\nWork with quality and process NCRs and provide as needed issue tracking.\nWork with 3rd party to fix replace or schedule site support by submitting tickets.\nWork with performance engineering to come up with resolutions as issues come about and submit Jira entrées as needed. \nAllocating contracted workers to the schedule requirements and managing their funding and onboarding.\nTraining new Service Technicians to be able to commission SolBank and support LTSA.\nTraining technicians and contractors on CMMS and proper usage.\nRepresenting Services as site lead for new projects and drives scheduling, safety and environmental compliance.\nWorking with Field Service Supervisors and technicians to ensure an effective transition to Operations.\nActing as field technical advisor for Service Technicians, Field Supervisors and Service Department.\nResponding to situations that arise during SolBank transit includes repairs and damage assessment.\nAssisting in procedure development and continuous improvement efforts.\nPerforming training exercises in the field for Service Technicians supporting commissioning and maintenance activities.\nProviding onsite diagnostic, troubleshooting and hands-on support to maintain equipment and achieve availability and capacity guarantees.\nDeveloping operating procedures and processes.\nAdhering to all health and safety rules and policies.\n Required Qualifications and Skills:\nEducational background in Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline\nAt least 5 years' of relevant work experience in a service environment, preferably in renewable energy\nKnowledge of general and national codes, medium voltage power systems and photovoltaic or Energy Storage system applications\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nProven ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and execute in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a strong ownership mentality\nPrevious experience with a CMMS software program is preferred\nAbility to travel to regional locations as needed (up to 100% of the time)\ne-STORAGE is Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
