The successful candidate must be able and willing to travel and complete tasks at various project sites throughout the country and, on occasion, internationally. Experience with BESS or renewable power generation equipment in a commissioning or service environment is required. This role is expected to spend over 75% of their time at project sites in Texas, Arizona, California, and others as needed.\nResponsibilities:\nCommission BESS sites using CSI Energy Storage’s Solbank Storage Power Block as part of a commissioning team\n\nPerform tasks assigned by the commissioning manager and engineer, such as safety system checks, installation inspections, and functional tests\n\nSupport the commissioning of the overall control system by testing the network connectivity of all field devices and performing point-to-point tests\n\nPerform daily routine tasks such as executing commissioning checklists, reviewing and updating the issues list, and helping to monitor the performance of commissioned assets\n\nProvide on-site diagnostic, troubleshooting, and hands-on support\n\nSupervise subcontractors on-site where required\n\nAssist with the completion of testing documentation and preparation of test reports in a timely manner\n\nEnsure proper LOTO and switching procedures are observed as required\n\nSupport client and operation and maintenance contractor training during and after commissioning\n\n Required Qualifications and Skills:\nEducational background in Engineering or a related field\n\nAt least 3 years of relevant experience in commissioning and/or systems engineering within the renewable energy sector\n\nHands-on experience in battery storage systems, medium voltage stations, and/or related products/systems\n\nPrevious experience with a CMMS software program preferred\n\nHands-on experience in system engineering and a solid understanding of related regulatory standards, including NEC/UL code compliance\n\nProficient in MV Electrical Installations, Ampacity Calculations, Short circuit/load flow, Protective Device Coordination, Arc Flash, Grounding per IEEE80, and other relevant design topics\n\nExcellent time management skills; able to balance multiple projects and prioritize a broad variety of issues, initiatives, and objectives concurrently\n\ne-STORAGE is Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
