Grid Compliance Manager (UK)\nDepartment: Project Engineering Team (EMEA)\nReports to: Director of Project Engineering (EMEA)\nLocation: Remote with 20% travel to project sites, client offices etc\nDescription:\nThe primary responsibilities of the Snr. Grid Compliance Manager is to ensure that the grid connection/ compliance deliverables and test documentation required to be submitted to the DNOs and NESO by e-Storage and its’s partners or subcontractors, are provided in a timely, and high-quality manner to guarantee on time energization and smooth commissioning.\nResponsibilities:\nTrack all project deliverables related to grid compliance and report monthly on status and issues.\nProactively identify and manage changes in the grid code compliance scope, identify potential risks, and prepare contingency plans.\nSupport the Commissioning Manager to provide realistic grid code compliance commissioning schedules and test management plans.\nAttend all relevant meetings with DNOs and NESO.\nReview and provide comments on grid code compliance studies / modelling.\nEngage and manage power systems engineering consultants when required.\nPrepare technical documentation and Scope of Work for powersystem consultants when necessary. \nReview and comment on Client technical documentation / scope of works during tender bid preparation, support the Applications Team on grid code compliance.\nAssist the Project Execution Team with the preparation of contractual notices related to scope changes and other grid connection matters.\nEngage with sub-contractor grid compliance / interface managers to ensure contractual requirements are met.\nManage OEM models (PCS, PPC etc) and coordinate necessary support between Powersystem engineers and OEM model providers.\nAssist commissioning team in the organisation of NESO/DNO’s grid compliance testing.\nResponding to or coordinating responses to NESO/DNOs grid compliance testing and data requests\nQualifications and Experience requirements:\nEngineering Degree in Electrical or Powersystem engineering.\nChartered engineer status and member of the IET\n5-10 years of relevant work experience in Renewables generation connection to Transmission or Distribution networks.\nFamiliar with grid connection process and G99/Full grid code requirements, including understanding of BELLA/BEGA arrangements.\nExperience with grid code compliance studies, grid model testing in the generation, transmission and/or distribution systems.\nExperience with voltage fluctuation/imbalance modeling and assessment (P28/P29).\nExperience with harmonics modeling and assessment (G5/5).\nKnowledge of all legal and technical documentation related to UK grid connection.\nStatic and Dynamic Modeling Tools/Software experience (e.g., DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSCAD)\nStrong written and oral communication skills.\nAbility to work with internal and external customer team members.\nWhat It’s Like to Work Here\nAt e-STORAGE, you’re more than just an employee-you’re part of a team that values your ideas, your background, and your unique perspective.
