This position is at the crossroads of battery energy storage systems (BESS), engineering, and data analytics.\nResponsibilities:\nAnalyze the performance of the BESS; conduct downtime analysis, identify under-performing areas and sub-systems, provide an understanding of system behavior, and direct improvements & updates to improve system availability and capacity.\nAnalyze key performance indicators (KPIs) like BESS Storage Availability, Charge/Discharge Energy, RTE, SoC and prepare reports (dashboards and presentations) to share with internal and external stakeholders.\nCalculate major equipment unavailability and LDs, communicate, and reconcile with suppliers and owners.\nReview monthly performance report form subcontractors for accuracy and prepare client facing performance report.\nDevelop tools and automation (such as scripts, Python codes) to collect and process data for directing system operation and maintenance (O&M) and monitoring BESS plant performance, such as flagging underperforming assets in real-time.\nPerform modelling and simulations of battery degradations from aging and cycling to establish warranty terms and predict augmentation schedules, using various industry standard and customized programs.\nMaintain and upgrade such programs to keep abreast with industry trends and emerging technologies.\nInterface with other personnel in Engineering, Service, Project Execution teams as well as subcontractors and clients.\nRequired Qualifications and Skills:\nScience or Engineering degree or equivalent.\nFamiliarity with BESS, solar energy, or power systems.\nFluent in Python programing, Jupyter notebook environment and SQL language.\nKnowledge of AWS cloud would be an asset.\nStrong computer skills and In-depth familiarity with big data analysis.\nProblem solving ability, critical thinking, creative thinking skills.\nExtensive knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel).\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to write clear, concise reports. \nStrong work ethic, positive team attitude and able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.\ne-STORAGE is Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
