This role specializes in inverter technologies - both central and string - and their integration within BESS platforms.\nThis role leads technical due diligence of third-party and in-house inverters, guides internal product development, and ensures compliance with certification and grid requirements\nWork closely with engineering, business development, and execution teams to refine the product vision, lead internal technical resources, and drive development of internal tools that strengthen performance validation and enhance overall solution competitiveness\nResponsibilities:\nInverter Technology Ownership\nLead technical due diligence of both central and string inverter technologies (3rd-party OEM and internally developed).\n\nDevelop technical product requirements for qualification process and provide supplier recommendations.\n\nAssist procurement and engineering in reviewing supplier proposals and negotiating technical requirements with suppliers.\n\nMonitor evolving codes and certifications, analyze their impact on the market and specific products, and recommend how to leverage these developments\n\nDrive internal and external Independent Engineer (IE) reviews to validate product performance and compliance.\n\nMaintain traceability of inverter specifications, certification status, performance validations, and internal evaluations to support cross-team collaboration.\n\nSolution Development & Applications Support\nCollaborate with engineering, business development, and execution teams to refine inverter-related solution architecture and product vision.\n\nResearch, analyze, and draft market requirements for existing and new products by engaging with customers and sales teams, reviewing industry sources, and translating insights into product and roadmap proposals.\n\nPresent proposals to internal stakeholders to gain alignment and approval.\n\nAct as an internal advocate for customer needs and requirements.\n\nDrive new product ideas through product development and/or system integration processes; coordinate and influence cross-functional product leaders.\n\nCommunicate and train business teams on product specifications, advantages, applications, and competitive benchmarks.\n\nPrepare technical content and materials for customer visits, training sessions, webinars, and events.\n\nProvide and validate content for marketing collateral such as datasheets, brochures, and white papers; support marketing in product launches and performance tracking.\n\nIntegration & Supply Support\nSupport procurement and supply chain teams by ensuring inverter manufacturing processes, certification status, and compliance requirements are met.\n\nWork with suppliers and internal teams to resolve technical gaps during product qualification and integration.\n\nProvide technical guidance to ensure smooth commercialization and supply readiness.\n\nSupport ongoing measurement of product success in the field and recommend improvements based on performance and customer feedback.\n\nPerform other related duties as assigned by management.\n\nQualifications and Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field; a postgraduate degree (M.Sc./Ph.D.) in engineering is preferred.\n\nMinimum 5 years of experience in inverter technology, power electronics, or energy storage product development, with hands-on exposure to utility-scale BESS projects and applications.\n\nStrong understanding of inverter technology (both central and string), power electronics, and their integration with battery systems.\n\nSolid knowledge of power systems engineering, grid compliance, and interconnection requirements.\n\nFamiliarity with control systems and product validation processes.\n\nProficiency in applying relevant codes and standards (NFPA, UL, IEEE, IEC, etc.), with proven ability to track emerging standards and assess their impact on products and solutions.\n\nAbility to quickly absorb detailed product information and effectively communicate technical aspects to diverse stakeholders.\n\nUnderstanding of financial product calculations, including cost structure, pricing definition, analysis, and recommendations.\n\nExcellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate convincingly with customers, independent engineers, certification bodies, and industry groups.\n\nStrong interpersonal skills, with proven ability to collaborate effectively across time zones, cultures, and functions (engineering, BD, supply chain, execution).\n\nDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical resources, drive alignment across teams, and influence product and solution strategy.\n\nExperience working in international organizations across multiple time zones, with strong preference for prior collaboration with teams in China.\n\nProficiency in Mandarin is preferred but not required.\n\nFlexibility to travel, including international travel as required (up to 15%) for vendor assessments, integration testing, and industry
