This role co-owns the Microsoft 365 and on-premises infrastructure, including identity and endpoint management, security platforms, managing virtualization and backup systems, and partnering with the broader IT team to deliver reliable service to end users across the business. We value someone who takes responsibility for outcomes, follows through on issues from start to finish, and can independently prioritize and manage their work in a fast-moving environment. This role reports onsite into West Chester, OH. \nYou will: \nAdminister and maintain Active Directory (users, groups, GPOs, OUs, DNS, replication), including health checks, and migrations as needed.\nManage identity and access in Microsoft Entra ID, including conditional access, MFA enforcement, role assignments, hybrid identity sync, and zero trust access models.\nAdminister Microsoft Windows Server and client operating systems, including patching, hardening, GPO development, PowerShell scripting, and lifecycle management.\nManage Windows endpoints through Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and Windows Autopatch, including configuration profiles, compliance policies, update rings, and endpoint security tooling.\nBuild, configure, monitor, and maintain VMware vSphere/ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V environments including host setup, cluster health, VM provisioning, snapshots, resource optimization, and capacity planning.\nManage backup and recovery operations across on-prem, virtual, and cloud workloads, including lifecycle management and recovery validation.\nAdminister email security and mail flow, including anti-phishing and anti-spam policies, mail flow rules, and investigation of reported phishing.\nApply Industry Best Practices and vendor hardening guides across systems and services.\nWork within the support ticketing system to respond to end-user requests, manage queues, and meet SLAs.\nServe as an escalation point for service desk technicians, providing mentorship and knowledge transfer.\nContinuously evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to systems, security posture, and operational efficiency.\nPerform other duties as assigned in support of the IT department and business objectives.\nBe an ambassador who embodies ourCore Values, prioritizing the success of E Tech Group, our clients, and the professional development of our associates.\nYou have: \n5+ years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure or systems administration.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field - or equivalent relevant work experience.\nCore technical experience with Active Directory, MS Operating Systems, VMware or Hyper-V, and backup systems (cloud, Windows, Linux, and virtual workloads).\nExperience administering Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, including conditional access and hybrid identity.\nWorking knowledge of PowerShell for administration and automation.\nExperience working within a support ticketing system - responding to end-user requests and supporting the team with escalations.\nExperience with email security platforms such as Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Proofpoint, or similar.\nFamiliarity with security best practices and hardening standards such as CIS Benchmarks.\nA collaborative approach and a habit of sharing what you know.\nAbility to work occasional after-hours maintenance windows and travel between company sites as needed.\nYou may have: \nVeeam Backup & Replication and Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365.\nMicrosoft Intune, Autopilot, and Windows Autopatch.\nExperience supporting CMMC or NIST SP 800-171 environments.\nWorkflow automation tools such as Power Automate or n8n.\nBenefits & Perks: \n401k + match + prompt enrollment.
