At E2, we value safety, innovation and collaboration, and we are dedicated to excellence.\nOverview\nThe Document Controls Lead will serve as part of the Owner’s Project Management Office (PMO), providing leadership for document management, engineering document control, project records management, turnover documentation, and project closeout throughout the Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC), Commissioning, and Closeout phases of this major natural gas infrastructure project. The ideal candidate has extensive experience supporting utility, industrial, refinery, compressor station, pipeline, or other large EPC capital projects and understands document lifecycle management from engineering through final turnover. This position is onsite 5 days a week.\nResponsibilities\nLead the Owner’s document control function for Compressor Modernization Project.\nDevelop, implement, and maintain project document control procedures, workflows, and quality standards.\nManage engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, turnover, and closeout documentation throughout the project lifecycle.\nReview contractor document submissions for completeness, quality, compliance, metadata accuracy, and adherence to project standards.\nCoordinate document reviews, approvals, transmittals, distribution, and version control between Client, EPC contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.\nTrack engineering deliverables, RFIs, submittals, design packages, vendor documentation, as-built drawings, commissioning records, and turnover packages.\nMaintain document registers, document status reports, overdue action reports, and executive dashboards.\nMonitor document KPIs, identify bottlenecks, and recommend process improvements to improve document turnaround and project performance.\nSupport project audits, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and records retention requirements.\nCoordinate final project turnover, closeout documentation, and records handover to operations in accordance with SDG&E standards.\nWork closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Engineers, Project Controls, and EPC contractors to ensure accurate and timely document management.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent industry experience.\n10+ years of Document Control or Records Management experience supporting large EPC or industrial construction projects.\nExperience supporting utility, natural gas, pipeline, compressor station, refinery, power generation, petrochemical, or heavy industrial projects.\nStrong understanding of engineering document lifecycle management.\nExperience managing:Engineering drawings\nSpecifications\nRFIs\nSubmittals\nVendor documentation\nCommissioning documentation\nTurnover packages\nAs-built documentation\n\nExperience coordinating document workflows between Owners, EPC contractors, engineers, and construction teams.\nExperience supporting project commissioning and closeout activities.\nTechnical Skills\nOpenText\nOracle Unifier\nProcore\nSharePoint\nPrimavera P6\nAconex\nAutodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)\nMicrosoft Office Suite\nPower BI (preferred)\nPreferred\nExperience supporting compressor station modernization, natural gas transmission, pipeline, refinery, or power plant projects.\nExperience working on Owner-side PMO or Program Management teams.\nExperience with EPC projects.\nBenefits\nE2 Consulting Engineers, LP offers an excellent benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, 401(k) with employer match, paid time off.\nWage Data Per State Requirements\nSalary range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000.
