At E2, we value safety, innovation and collaboration, and we are dedicated to excellence.\nOverview\nThe Project Engineer I will join the Project Execution Team in major natural gas pipeline integrity, retrofits, pipeline replacement, and pipeline hydrotest transmission projects.\nResponsibilities\nSupport in design, evaluate and implement efficient pipeline engineering projects to improve safety, reliability and efficiency of operations in various geographical areas throughout Southern California.\nSupport with clients and various project stakeholders to identify project needs, develop project scoping documents, and support project execution.\nAssist in developing pipeline engineering designs including process diagrams, plans, profiles, details, material/equipment specifications, bill of materials, exhibits, etc.\nDetailed Engineering including calculations, hydrostatic testing plans, design basis documents, project execution plans, sizing & selection of equipment, etc.\nReview of Client and/or Vendor documents, specifications, datasheets, verification of FEED design & calculations.\nParticipate in interactive planning sessions to establish, cost control and scheduling for assigned projects.\nPrepare and maintain project budget and schedules including cost and schedule tracking reports.\nPerform Quality Assurance/Quality Control on all deliverables.\nMaintain effective communication and relationships with project team members and clients, with a commitment to building enduring relationships leading to customer satisfaction and loyalty.\nPreparation & Issue of RFQ's, evaluation of vendor's quotations, clarifications, Technical Bid Analysis etc.\nReview of vendor's documents, drawings, datasheets, specifications and calculations.\nCoordinate with survey, land, environmental and other project stakeholders as necessary for detailed engineering design.\nPrepare proposals, scoping documents, cost/schedule estimates for all new projects.\nPrepare and negotiate change orders with client as needed.\nProvide technical expertise and consultations to other project teams for the evaluation of, and resolution to, engineering problems and designs involving various engineering disciplines.\nLead and collaborate effectively with teams to effectively execute projects.\nCoordinate with design team to create pipeline design deliverables.\nManage and Coordinate with sub-contractors to obtain survey, geotechnical investigations, permitting, land acquisition, etc.\nProvide direction to contractors, consultants, Company engineers, technical specialists and all other project team members as needed.\nManage and coordinate all activities leading to the completion of all tasks/activities and overall project success.\nTrain, develop and mentor engineering team including developing training materials.\nSolve difficult engineering problems that may require adaption and/or modification of standard approaches, techniques procedures and criteria.\nQualifications\nB.S. Degree in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or similar field is required.\n1-3+ years experience in gas utilities and/or gas processing design engineering.\nTechnical knowledge and experience in pipeline engineering and design and understanding of applicable regulations and standards.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExperience in consulting (or EPC with Design & Engineering capability) is preferred.\nExperience working with utilities in the State of California is preferred.\nExperience working in a remote (virtual) environment preferred.\nField engineering/construction experience preferred.\nCalifornia EIT or Professional Engineering license is preferred.\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal.\nFamiliarity with AutoCAD is preferred.\nFamiliarity and knowledge of API, ASME and ANSI standards is required.\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word is required.\nProject management experience is preferred.\nAbility to travel as dictated by project requirements including site visits and in-person meetings.\nValid driver's license and clean driving record is required.\nBenefits\nE2 Consulting Engineers, LP offers an excellent benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, 401(k) with employer match, paid time off.\nWage Data Per State Requirements\nSalary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000.
