This is not a traditional, siloed FileMaker role. You will be instrumental in leading a team of developers while bridging the gap between legacy systems and modern, scalable cloud infrastructures. If you are comfortable designing complex schemas, building robust microservices, and integrating FileMaker with enterprise-grade serverless environments, we want you on board.\nResponsibilities\nTechnical Leadership: Guide, mentor, and lead a team of software engineers, setting the standard for code quality, architectural design, agile timelines, and production rollouts.\nAdvanced FileMaker Development: Architect, optimize, and maintain complex, multi-tenant FileMaker applications, ensuring high performance and data integrity.\nCloud & Microservices Integration: Design and implement seamless integrations between FileMaker and modern cloud infrastructures, utilizing AWS serverless architectures (Lambda, AppSync, DynamoDB).\nFull-Stack Collaboration: Work extensively with JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks (Angular, React micro-frontends) to build robust user interfaces and decouple legacy dependencies.\nDatabase Modeling: Drive advanced database design and data modeling, bridging FileMaker with enterprise relational databases like PostgreSQL (via tools like Hasura).\nAI & Automation: Identify and implement AI tools and automated workflows to streamline development, accelerate data migration testing, and enhance product capabilities.\nQualifications\nExpert-Level FileMaker: Absolute dominion over the FileMaker platform, including complex scripting, advanced relational design, server management, and Data API utilization.\nCloud Architecture Expertise: Proven experience designing and deploying serverless applications on AWS, with a deep understanding of multi-tenant SaaS structures.\nJavaScript & Web Technologies: Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), Node.js, and experience working alongside full-stack engineering teams.\nMicroservices & API Mastery: Extensive background in building, consuming, and securing RESTful and GraphQL APIs.\nLeadership Experience: A track record of acting as a technical lead, managing aggressive software development timelines, and driving complex integrations across different systems.\nForward-Thinking: A hands-on approach to exploring new technologies, including AI integration, to solve complex engineering challenges.\nBenefits\nE2 Consulting Engineers, LP offers an excellent benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, 401(k) with employer match, paid time off.\nWork Environment/Physical Demands\nWork Environment\nThis job operates in a professional office environment and uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
