At E2, we value safety, innovation and collaboration, and we are dedicated to excellence.\nOverview\nE2 is seeking a Mid-Level Transmission Line Engineer to support the design and execution of overhead transmission line projects ranging from 69 kV to 500 kV. This role involves technical design, coordination across disciplines, and increasing responsibility for project deliverables and client interaction. The candidate will report to the Transmission Engineering Manager.\nResponsibilities\nPerform detailed design of overhead transmission lines, including:Structure spotting and profile development \nPlan & profile drawings \nConductor and hardware selection \n\nExecute and review line design using industry-standard tools (e.g., PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, PLS-TOWER) \nPerform basic to intermediate calculations for:Sag-tension analysis \nClearance compliance (NESC, GO 95, utility standards) \n\nCoordinate with structural engineers on pole/tower loading and design inputs \nSupport routing studies, constructability reviews, and cost estimates \nPrepare engineering packages, drawings, and material lists \nInterface with clients, survey teams, environmental teams, and other stakeholders \nProvide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers \nEnsure adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements \nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering\n3-7 years of experience in transmission line design\nProficiency in PLS-CADD required; experience with PLS-POLE and/or PLS-TOWER preferred\nWorking knowledge of NESC and applicable utility standards\nStrong understanding of overhead line design principles and practices\nEIT certification required; PE license preferred or in progress\nPreferred\nExperience working with major utilities (e.g., SCE, PG&E, SDG&E)\nExperience with LiDAR, survey data integration, and digital terrain modeling\nFamiliarity with project lifecycle from routing through construction support\nBenefits\nE2 Consulting Engineers, LP offers an excellent benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, 401(k) with employer match, paid time off.\nWage Data Per State Requirements\nSalary range for this position is $105,000 - $145,000.
