Successful candidates will support the design, execution, and evaluation of homeland security exercise programs covering a range of hazards, including terrorism, cybersecurity, and natural disasters. Candidates may also support policy assessment and analysis, policy research, professional writing, and/or strategic planning in the homeland security or public policy fields. For more information, visit cadmusgroup.com.\nResponsibilities\nIndependently support the planning, design, conduct, and evaluation of HSEEP exercises.\nLead assigned exercise planning workstreams and coordinate activities with project staff, clients, subject-matter experts, and participating organizations.\nSupport the development of exercise objectives, scenarios, planning meeting materials, Situation Manuals, Exercise Plans, facilitator guides, evaluation materials, and After-Action Reports and Improvement Plans.\nSupport planning meetings, working sessions, and portions of discussion-based exercises involving government and private-sector stakeholders.\nConduct research and analysis involving homeland security, cybersecurity, emergency management, and critical infrastructure risks.\nTranslate technical or policy information into clear, audience-appropriate exercise materials, reports, presentations, and briefings.\nCoordinate exercise logistics, participant communications, document reviews, meeting records, and action-item tracking.\nAnalyze evaluator observations and participant feedback to identify findings, corrective actions, and opportunities for improvement.\nReview products for accuracy, completeness, formatting, and compliance with project requirements.\nManage assigned tasks and deliverables to established schedules and promptly communicate risks or dependencies to project leadership.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in emergency management, homeland security, national security, public policy, political science, cybersecurity, or a related field.\nMinimum of at least five (5) years of professional experience, with relevant professional supporting projects related to exercise planning, emergency management, homeland security, cybersecurity, critical infrastructure, or a related field; preference given to those with experience in homeland security, emergency management, and exercises.\nWorking knowledge of HSEEP principles, processes, terminology, and documentation.\nExperience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and government or private-sector stakeholders.\nStrong research, analytical, writing, and presentation skills.\nAbility to independently manage assignments and produce client-ready deliverables.\nStrong quality-control skills and attention to detail.\nProficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.\nAbility to travel domestically as required.\nU.S. Citizen with ability to earn a favorable Public Trust clearance and/or DHS Suitability.\nPreferred Qualifications\nCompletion of relevant FEMA or HSEEP training.\nAdditional Information:\nCandidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S. Citizen.\nBased on eligibility and job status, Cadmus offers an excellent benefits package to include: medical, dental, vision, company paid disability and life insurance, 401(k) program, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, voluntary time off (VTO), tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance program, other optional benefits and various bonus programs.\nThe salary range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000.
