Working under the direction and guidance of the Lead Millwright, the Apprentice executes a variety of tasks and contributes to crew safety.\nThis is position will be based out of on of Eagle Creek's facilities located in the mid-Atlantic, with heavy travel expectation (~80%) as needed across our portfolio of hydropower assets. \n\nWhy Eagle Creek?\nA comprehensive benefits plan: Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA, FSA, Commuter benefits, Voluntary Life, 401(k) match.\nEleven paid holidays per year, plus a competitive PTO schedule and time off to volunteer or give back to your community.\nAccess to a company-funded Employee Assistance Program.\nTuition Reimbursement as well as access to trainings & mentors for Career Progression and Personal Development.\nWhat you'll do:Perform teardown and reassembly of turbine runners, wicket gates, guide bearings, thrust bearings, packing glands, shaft seals, and generator components to OEM and engineering tolerances.\nConduct precision measurements and alignments using micrometers, dial indicators, and laser alignment equipment; record and report all findings in overhaul logs.\nRig, sling, and assist in directing crane lifts of heavy turbine and generator components in accordance with approved lift plans.\nApply and comply with all LOTO, confined space entry, and site safety procedures; actively participate in pre-job briefs.\nAssist the Millwrights with work planning, parts staging, and tool preparation for upcoming tasks.\nIdentify wear, damage, or out-of-tolerance conditions during inspection and report findings to the Lead Millwright promptly.\nMaintain a clean and organized work site; properly care for and store tools and equipment after each shift.\nComplete work order documentation, inspection forms, and measurement records accurately and on time.\nAdapt to changing work priorities and perform additional duties as directed by the Lead Millwright.\nBe proficient in use of company email and work order management systems.\n What you'll need:Minimum 2 years of millwright experience; Journeyman Millwright certification or equivalent.\nExperience with rotating heavy equipment; hydroelectric or power generation experience preferred.\nDemonstrated proficiency with precision measuring instruments and alignment equipment.\nCurrent LOTO and confined space entry training; rigging certification preferred.\nAn unwavering commitment to safety for yourself, your crew, and the public.\nAbility to follow and carry out instructions from the Lead Millwright with minimal supervision on standard tasks.\nValid driver's license required.\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training in millwright or mechanical trades preferred.\nBasic experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Teams) for documentation and communication.\n Physical Requirements:\nAbility to perform manual tasks including but not limited to:\nThe operation of hand and power tools and the ability to lift at least 50 lbs.\nBeing able to bend and maneuver in tight, cramped quarters including turbine pits and generator enclosures.\nAbility to work in hot, noisy, wet, and confined environments.\nComfortability working at heights and around water\nAbility to work with and wear respiratory protection.\nWalk, stand, stoop, kneel, climb, and bend for prolonged periods of time.\nGrip and manually manipulate hand tools, torque equipment, and machine parts, often in repetitive motion.\nRead and identify labels, gauges, measurement instruments, and indicators encountered in performing job duties.\nPossess clear and effective verbal communication in all circumstances, including emergency situations.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3866,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":2,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"high_school","optional":true},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Hydroelectric"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-23T10:12:16Z"}],"liveness":{"score":86,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.86,"p_room":1,"age_days":0,"expected_fill_days":6,"reasons":["conf:4","win:early","comp:junior"],"computed_at":"2026-09-23T18:10:19Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/eagle-creek-renewable-energy-llc-millwright-apprenticehelper-eagle-creek-renewable-energy-llc","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/eagle-creek-renewable-energy-llc-millwright-apprenticehelper-eagle-creek-renewable-energy-llc.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-23T18:10:19Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers"}}
