Working in a dynamic and fast-moving organization, you will see your career progress, providing endless opportunities.\nJoin us and become a member of Belgrade Waterfront team as: CONTRACTS MANAGER\nROLE SUMMARY\nThis position is responsible for managing the entire contracting process for construction projects, from pre-bidding to execution, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. The role involves preparing tender documentation, reviewing contract terms, assessing risks, and monitoring contract performance. Additionally, it includes handling claims, dispute resolution, and providing guidance to project managers on contractual matters to protect the company’s interests and minimize risks.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITES:\nManage the contracting process from pre-bidding through approvals and execution for various tasks and projects\nPrepare tender documents for the selection process of contractor/consultant and release the documents for tender\nReview pre-award tender terms and conditions to identify and mitigate commercial risk of the contract\nEnsure that the contracting process complies with company policies and government agencies’ requirements\nReview any critical contractual correspondences prepared by the consultant managing construction contracts to assure correct approaches are adopted\nAssess external parties’ obligations and liabilities, including insurance requirements, bank guarantee wordings, payment terms, etc.\nMonitor and review the commercial performance of ongoing contracts to ensure that contract requirements are met\nEvaluate potential risks to projects and suggest measures to reduce risks to acceptable levels\nEvaluate and advise project managers on contract conflicts and claims against contractors and subcontractors\nLead and support claims processing, dispute resolution, litigation, and arbitration proceedings\nVerify claims and counterclaims from the contract perspective and defend against claims made by contractors/consultants\nQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Law\nMinimum 10 years of work experience in construction\nMinimum 5 years of work experience in construction contract management\nA good understanding of building contracts terms and conditions, and their legal and operational mechanisms\nExperience in bid management\nExperience in project management\nExperience of preparing and assessing loss and expense claims\nGood time management, communication and interpersonal skills\nExcellent knowledge of FIDIC standards\nThe candidate must be native Serbian speaker with fluency in English (written and spoken)\nSKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:\nStrong knowledge of contract management and administration\nGood negotiation and communication skills\nAbility to analyze and solve problems effectively\nAttention to detail and accuracy\nGood organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks\nStrong working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of products\nExcellent knowledge of English language\nAbility to work independently and meet deadlines\nTeam player
