Supervisors at Eagle set the tone for safety, teamwork, and performance. Guiding, coaching, and supporting their employees to achieve results while maintaining a positive, respectful workplace. They are the visible link between leadership intent and field execution, ensuring operational excellence through care, consistency, and communication.\nMAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:\nLead by example, demonstrating commitment to safety, respect, integrity, and excellence. \nCommunicate daily goals, expectations, and changes clearly to the employees. \nEncourage open communication, active involvement, and idea sharing. \nIdentify hazards and act immediately to maintain a safe work environment and seek to eliminate or control the risks of injury and/or damage to equipment.\nProvide timely feedback, recognition, and coaching to support employee growth. \nPromote accountability and ownership for safe, high-quality work. \nSupport shift handovers and ensure company communications are passed down. \nVisible and engaged in the field. \nManage all activities in a manner that prevents pollution and minimizes damage to the natural environment.\nEnsure all safety-related activities and daily maintenance operations are managed, controlled, and supervised in accordance with company policies and MSHA requirements, including risk assessments, pre-shift checks, line-out meetings, and incident reporting.\nSupervise and provide direction to the Mobile Maintenance planners, Mobile Maintenance Supervisors, and Mobile Maintenance Mechanics. \nActively promote and engage in continuous improvement of Mine Maintenance processes. \nResponsible for efficient execution of all mine maintenance activities to meet the needs of the operations groups. \nParticipate in the development and implementation of an asset management strategy that safely achieves production demand while maintaining and/or reducing maintenance costs. \nMaintain training records of employees in the department. Monitor training register and logging formal training as it occurs\nManage personnel rosters for effective labor coverage.\nEnsure all incidents and accidents are reported, investigated and reviewed according to policy and procedure. \nCollaboratively work with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to meet the company objectives. \nIdentify training requirements and assist training department with development of training and apprenticeship program\nOther duties as assigned. \nEDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:\n10+ years of heavy equipment maintenance experience \nJourneyperson, Technical Diploma, or Engineering degree preferred \nAbility to independently make complex decisions \nSound knowledge of maintenance, and maintenance planning of heavy mining equipment \nGood understanding of mining operations \nAbility to create and work within high performing teams \nKEY PERSONAL COMPETENCIES:\nAction Oriented - Initiates timely action to address important issues. \nCollaborates - Encourages unity rather than us vs. them thinking \nCommunicates Effectively - Clear, concise, and professional in communication. \nDecision Quality - Considers various inputs, criteria, and trade-offs to arrive at effective decisions and recommendations. \nEnsures accountability - Follows through on commitments. \nManages Ambiguity - Accepts needed change despite the uncertainty it brings. \nHSEC ACCOUNTABILITIES\nEveryone in the workplace is responsible for his or her own safety and for the safety of their co-workers.
